"G-gone?!" you squeak. "What do you mean, gone?"

Lexi's mental projection draws you in to her beautiful body, arms wrapped around you squeezing you even tighter. "I'm sorry, Alan. Gone. I wasn't able to see how or why the Earth is gone, but I was able to save you, at least. And the others were able to save a few dozens humans each - I was one of the last to notice that Earth was gone."

"I- I..." you stutter. "How many humans are left?" Lexi's projection hugs you all the tighter. Her embrace should have, by all rights, reduced to you a fine paste with her strength, but somehow no matter how tight the hug gets, you never feel even the slightest bit of discomfort. Just a loving warmth. "A few... Hundred..." Lexi says, sadly.

Your mind seems to go blank. A few hundred humans were all that was left. Head drooping downwards, you screw your eyes shut and push yourself into the construct's soft fur, tears beginning to flow once again. "Oh, Alan..." Lexi croons, both from her construct and from her actual body, utterance shaking you slightly. Lexi's construct softly kisses the top of your head as she holds your tiny body against her.

Wrapping your arms as far around her as you can, you hug the construct, comparatively feeble, stick-like arms encircling her torso as far as you can manage. It takes a while, but eventually the tears stop, and Lexi releases her grip on you, placing another soft kiss on the top of your head.

"So, uh," you begin, wishing to take your mind off of Earth and humanity's current circumstances. "Just how big are you, Lexi? And how did you get so big?"

"Well, little bro, you see..."
