As the plane begins to descend you look out the window, and see your destination. It was a large urban city, but you could also spot farmlands some distance away. A little nervous, you weren’t even so much as told where you were going, but the agents did mention you should receive a phone call from the government issued phone they handed you. After the plane lands, and you head into the lobby to pick up your luggage, the phone begins to ring, and familiar voice begins to talk to you as you answer “Have you arrived safely Mr. Alan?” he asks “Ah yes, I’m here.” you reply. You pick up your luggage, and shortly after ask “Where am I? What should I do?” as you nervously look around for any kind of sign. “Well Mr. Alan, welcome to Texas. Or should I call you by your new name Mr. David D. Johnson.” he chuckles “Wait, what’s the 'D’ stand for?”
“It stands for Doe, but you should see your new guardian soon. Her appearance is very similar to a friend of yours; she is a government sanctioned worker who has agreed to house, and protect you. It is recommended you don’t leave her side a-” “W-wait a minute, what do I do about work? What about my social life?” you interrupt. “Ahem, you see Mr. Johnson, you are an adult, and we can only recommend you the safest option. You are more than free to see the world as you like, however please listen to any instructions given to you by your guardian. Should you see fit, that she is too smothering, or cruel, you may request a new guardian at any time using this number. One more thing Mr. Johnson, good luck.” he say’s as the call disconnects. “Wait... good luck?” confused, you start looking around for anyone similar. Around you were various Anthros, and humans; many of the Anthros were reptiles or non-hooved mammals, being in Texas you expected to see more cows, and horses “Speaking of Anthros, he didn’t even tell me what race my guardian is.” you mumble to yourself.
As if on cue, you start hearing the clacking of hooves, as you crane your head to the source you see something odd “Is that Betty? No wait... is that what he meant by someone similar?” she begins to look around as if searching for someone, eventually her eyes land on you, and a grin spreads on her face. She walks up to you, and begins talking to you as she leans down “Well hello there sug’ you’re lookin' mighty lost. I don’t suppose you’re looking for little ol’ me?” “Umm” is all you manage to respond with. “I’ll take that as a yes.” she giggles as she offers a hand for you to get on. You have second thoughts about climbing on, but she seems to be a relative of Betty, so you go ahead, and climb on. She brings you up to eye level, and begins to introduce herself “My name is Della, and I suppose you must be David D. Johnson?” you nod at her question “Wonderful, welcome to Texas Alan... I mean David.” she winks.
