A vicious lie When the Anthros Came to Town chapter 10 by copier · original author: redhurricane

You don't want to say what you're going to say, Meena has always been so nice to you. But if you told her the truth and Sapphira found out, she'd put on a contract out on Meena for being a witness. You couldn't put your friend's life in danger, so you have no choice but to be cruel in order to be kind. You swallow and prepare to tear her apart.

"Shut up bat face!" Meena lets out a gasp. "You are so annoying! Do I have to tell you freaks of nature everything I'm doing! What do you care, you're nothing more than animals that can talk! You mutant freaks are destroying our planet and driving us to extinction! I hate all of you! You've taken over my neighborhood and boxed me in! Lalonde treats me like a doll, Baxter is always angry at me even though I never even speak to him and Reggie's music has probably given me permanent hearing damage! And you, you're the one who irks me the most, always flying over my head and never talking to me! And with your annoying obsession with pop culture that might I add we humans made! I'm surprised you don't live in your parents' basement! I never want to see you again!"

Meena hears every word and her eyes water, fogging up her glasses before she runs away crying. "You're so mean! I thought you were my friend!" As Meena runs off sobbing, you feel absolutely horrible. Even if you didn't mean those words, you shouldn't have said them. You knew they weren't true and you knew they weren't right. You want to make it up to Meena but you still have the bomb that Sapphira told you to deliver. You really wish you never ran into that dragon. Why couldn't she have abducted somebody else?
