A dangerous voyage? When the Anthros Came to Town chapter 9 by copier · original author: lonelupine

Upon hearing Meena's request, a great deal of apprehension befell your mind. "Well-" you begin, uncertain how Meena would exactly take your refusal. "Look Meena, it does sound like an...interesting project." you admit, not wanting to sound like you were completely against her plan. "But...well, this isn't some kind of comic book." You add as your eyes momentarily glimpse towards the side, away from the massive batgirl.

"What do you mean?" Meena asks, uncertain about your response. "I...I made the suit myself and was testing it for months! it came out perfectly a-okay." she beams slightly, as if trying to assure you of the safety of her plan.

"But how can you be so sure i'll be safe inside you?" you retort as you gaze back at her. Meena's face slightly contorts with confusion by your assumption as you soon continue onwards. "I mean...the whole idea sounds like something straight outta some sci-fi movie Meena. And, well that's just it. Sci-fi!" you nearly shout with unease. "How many times in those movies did something end up going wrong? like some spacesuit's lifeline malfunctioning? or worse?" you ask with an incredulous face.

"But...this won't take place in space." Meena counter's as her voice begins to soften up a bit from your words.

"But...Just how is this idea going to work in a real-life context?" you ask, still uncertain if her whole bio plan will come into fruition.

Two or three seconds of silence creep up as Meena raises a slightly balled hand up to her face while deep in a pondering state. "I..." she spoke, quickly breaking up the quiet tension. "I made sure to test the suit's protection, as well as it's effects on the environment." Her eyes soon befall you once more. "Things like extreme heat, let alone bodily fluids like acid did absolutely no harm to it whatsoever." She continues before soon giving a defeated sigh. "But...you're probably right." she admits with a weak nod before shaking her head. "What was I thinking?" she mutters despondently. "S-Sorry Alan, this was a stupid request."

Her words, let alone her expression, felt like a bunch of knives stabbing your heart as you couldn't help but view yourself as a villain at the moment. "Well..." You quickly reply after a second of hesitation. "Are...you really certain the suit held up?" you ask as Meena's eyes widen ever so lightly from the sudden question. "Like no holes, or anything like that?" you continue as your massive neighbor meekly nods.

"P-Positive." she stutters, easily taken aback by your question. "I...can show you the suit if you like." she adds.

With one last sigh, you gaze square up at Meena's eyes and-
