The next couple of hours were pure torture for Alex. Every one of Ian's steps shook the world with an unimaginable force as Alex desperately tried to hang onto the piece of lint. When Ian sat down, it became calmer than when he was walking, but it was still a terrifying experience. Ian's foot would move often, which felt like the world itself was moving in various directions at high speeds to Alex.
She was horrified as she felt herself slipping off as she got more and more tired. Hanging onto the massive piece of lint was getting exhausting, but if she let go, she'd be thrown around constantly and might not even survive. She couldn't let that happen, so she used all of her strength to cling to the gigantic object as Ian stood up and started walking again.
Although Alex didn't know it yet, the last class just ended. So, Ian was now leaving school and going somewhere else.
