Ingrid looked at her dad with those large hopeful eyes of hers. "Can we go to the mall? I heard that some of the stores just opened and I really wanna check it out." It was rare for Ingrid to want to go to some place as socially alive as a mall. Hell yeah it was okay! But to maintain the "Dad" persona you simply shrugged, "It sounds fine, but why do you need me?" Ingrid averted her gaze in embarrassment, "Well...I try not to ask but...."
It didn't take rocket science to figure it out, "Ahh...money." Ingrid nodded, and you couldn't stop the smile from forming on your lips. "Alright, you know the drill." A sound of agreement came whilst Ingrid was fishing in her purse, eventually pulling out a silver credit card. "I carry the card due to your size and you mutter the number code to me. Right?" Ever like Ingrid, never missed a beat and the heart of an angel. "That's right, good thing you remembered."
Ingrid smiled widely at the praise, "Thank you Daddy! You okay with hitching a ride in the usual place?" The "Usual Place" for Ingrid was her ear, so she could hear you and you weren't particularly suffering. Now if it was Morgan...ho boy...some of the places make you learn for hell in her pocket or something. But thankfully luck handed you the good daughter tonight. "Yeah it works, when do we leave?"
"Right now." Ingrid flatly replied. In a single leap of her bed you heard her barefeet slam on the floor with enough force to make you cringe. Not that Ingrid noticed, with a couple sways of her nice curves she strode her way to a pair of solid black boots. Ugh, simply staring at them brought flashbacks of worse days...goth kids in school... preps with their expensive boots...Rouge....horrible times. Thankfully though Ingrid wasn't like any of them; albeit with the boots, the revealing black tanktop, and thigh level black shorts she could've easily passed for a Mini-Rouge. That was another thing about this goth phase you disliked, simply looking at your daughter reminded you of the Devil...and to make things worse ever since entering this phase Rouge has been like her idol....can you say "Bad Influence?" Thankfully Rouge's moves in that regard didn't seem to fare too well, but a corner of your mind worried about it day in and out. Not even beginning to mention the bad friends Ingrid began to make, kids who would probably grow up to be crooks; and while with them Ingrid seemed to have less morals then usual. As a father it was really worriesome.
Next thing you knew Ingrid's fingernail had you scooped up and heading towards her ear. You were so lost in your nostalgic trauma you nearly left reality for a minute, but you were back; right in time to climb off and in the cave of her ear. You didn't go far, only a few feet before sitting down in a cozy little ridge. All ready and with Daddy on her side Ingrid was off (After explaining to Mom of course.)
She got permission to borrow Rachael's car for the ride so your giant daughter was behind the wheel before the conversations out of boredom began. Just mild small talk, nothing particularly important. You were being Dad, stuck in your out-of-date ways, and Ingrid was putting up with it with a kind hearted smile. Luckily, being in a car made the trip a hundred times shorter. In no time flat you had arrived.
Right away you began to shop with Ingrid, going to a Bookstore, and weapon store (Only browsing), and one or two clothing shops. It was a real blast and every time you said yes to a request you were "Super Dad" , it felt nice, it really did. But the closer the light was, the greater the shadow. Ingrid had walked into Hot Topic when she ran into a group of people you did NOT want either of you to be around...
