Mom addresses you after a week Your Life......Smaller chapter 21 by copier · original author: gardenfairy

You spent a whole week on there, unsure of anything happening off of the foot you’re on. Have your sisters even mentioned you to your mother? Or do they just not care? It’s not like there would be too much missing from their lives, just something that barely qualified as dust that’s gone missing, and that was before you shrank for the first time, after that they barely paid you any mind. Why would they? Your place was with the monolithic pieces of dirt and the germs that matched your height, not with the family of goddesses.

The only thing you can do is try to take your mind off it. But that’s easier said than done since your mother was everywhere you looked. You had no other scenery other than her sweat pores, gigantic flakes of skin, wrinkles so deep you can’t see the bottom, and the occasional skyscraper sized germ that you have to hide from. You don’t even know why you bother hiding. It’s not like you’re big enough to make them interested in you. That’s one of the scariest parts, you truly are nothing, not even on the bottom of the food chain, you’ve fallen off it entirely!

After a week you hear a distant rumble you’re used to these by now. It could be anything, your mom twitching one of her pinky toes or maybe an ant has crawled onto her foot. You’re hoping it’s not the second one. What if she flicks the ant off her foot and you go flying with it! Then you’ll have no chance at any form of recovering amongst all the grime on the floor! But the rumbles keep getting closer, and consistently getting louder. Then you see the first new thing you’ve seen in a whole week, the sky immediately turns white as far as you can see, replacing the vague far off beige you’ve been accustomed too, in the middle of the planet of white you see intricate brown colors all weaving together, surrounding a smaller black ocean in the middle of it all. It’s an eye. One of your mothers brown eyes. As you’re getting used to the sensation of finally feeling like you’re seen, a voice booms.

“I CAN’T EVEN SEE YOU ANYMORE” and with those words you fall to the floor from the sheer force of the things and the air getting pushed out of her mouth to say them. After you recover it sinks in what she actually said… she can’t see you? With that all hopes of recovering are completely lost. If by some miracle they invent a cure that actually works she won’t be able to see you to administer it, that’s also assuming that she’d want too and that it won’t just shrink you further. You can’t imagine how horrible it would be to be smaller than this, you shuddered just thinking about it, but your thoughts are interrupted by another sentence from your god.

“LISTEN GERM, AND I KNOW YOU’RE STILL ON THERE, BASED ON THE SIZE YOU SHOULD BE IT WOULD TAKE YOU WEEKS TO TRAVEL AN INCH” she paused for a moment, seemingly to let her insult sink in. “I’M GONNA BE HONEST, I’M NEVER LETTING YOU HAVE YOUR NORMAL LIFE BACK, I LOVE THE THOUGHT THAT YOUR WHOLE WORLD IS JUST MY FOOT” You hear her chuckle to herself, further shaking your whole environment. You watch as the eye of your goddess pulls away, leaving you alone to stare back up at the vague colors in the distance that you remember.

After a while of sulking and thinking about what she was saying, you decided that you need to do something about this. You can’t fight her of course. And can’t get her to notice you. But what you can do is find a way off her foot, off her! It would be a really small victory, one she wouldn’t even notice, but maybe you don’t want to spend the rest of your life pleasuring your mom by being on her foot, even if she doesn’t notice you’re gone. You will. And that might be enough to make the journey worth it.
