Your Mother dug her finger into her ear, placing her fingernail close to you. "Why don't we see if you can fix things with Rachael." Mom sounded happy again, weary but happy.
"R-really?!" You fell over in disbelief, your horrid lifestyle was finally changing and at such a rapid pace! "Y-Yes! Lets go!"
Without a moments hesitation you leap onto your Mother's crimson painted nail and feel yourself hoisted away. Your Mom started speaking again, listing where she thought Rachael would be.
"She was here less than an hour ago, in fact less than thirty minutes ago. If we leave now we should be able to catch up with her."
Impatiently you say "Then what the hell are you waiting for!"
Immediately your Mom took off running with you safe in her hand, or nail as the case may be. "Language!" She scolded you on your use of 'hell'
The moment you and your Mother were out of the house she stopped, and you knew why. There was extrodinarily loud sniffles coming from near by, peering from the fingernail you saw Rachael lying on the edge of a tree in your front yard, crying wildly.
Quietly, almost like she was floating your Mother brought you over to Rachael. She saw the shadow and looked up at her, "What do you want?" Her voice sounded icy, as if your Mother had ruined her life.
Silently your Mother gestured to her fingernail, quickly dumping you into Rachael's open palm. And then she left, not wanting to bother you further.
"Everything's ok now!" You cheered, after Rachael placed you close enough to her ear for her to hear you of course.
"No its not. Your Mom hates me...." Rachael was clearly depressed.
You actually laughed at that, "No she doesn't. She loves you like family, she's just been through so much lately."
"Even so if something like that happens again I don't think I could take it......" She trembled slightly.
"It won't happen again. I promise."
Rachael froze up for a moment before saying........
