As the flash of red light subsided, Ed rubbed his eyes vigorously with both hands to clear his sight. He slowly opened his eyes and his vision was blurred for a few minutes. When they cleared he looked down at his hands in shock. His left hand was normal, like always...but so was his right! He quickly pulled up his left pant leg and was greeted by the sight of his own flesh. He sat there, stunned for a few seconds, his mind not quite wrapping around the fact that after all the searching he and his brother went through, his secondary goal had been accomplished! He jumped up in joy and yelled and laughed and spun around screaming randomly at the sky.
"Al! Al look! We did it! My arm and leg are back to normal!"
It was then that he noticed Al was nowhere in sight.
"Hey Al! Alponse! Where are you? We can't be split up like this! The military is still looking for us!"
Ed was starting to get worried. He searched the forest area and even the river but couldn't find anything at all.
"I can't believe I just let him get lost like this!" Ed said, hitting himself lightly on the head. "Where could he have gone?"
It was at this time that Ed noticed a large ravine near where he and Al had activated the stone. He slid down in and ran down the length of it until he came to something that made him stop and close his eyes for ten seconds, then look again. It was still there. A giant human foot. Ed tilted his head his expression one of equal parts curiosity and surprise. He moved to the side of the foot and his jaw dropped open in surprise. The foot belonged to none other than his brother Al. Al had gotten the same treatment as Ed but for some reason he was a giant. Ed did quick calculation and guessed that he was probably fifty feet tall. Everything from the waist down was in the ravine, while his upper body was hunched over, sticking out of the ravine. He appeared to be asleep. It was at this time Ed noticed his brother was totally naked. He turned bright red and turned away, not wanting to see his brother in all his glory.
"Okay. I've never read about anything like this happening before. But I'm sure I can fix it if even a sliver of the Philosophers Stone is intact. Now I just have to wake him up."
Ed glanced behind him then quickly turned away again. He slowly edged towards the side of the ravine and climbed out. Without looking he managed to run to Al's back. He sighed in relief now that his brother's equipment was now hidden from his view. He shaded his eyes and looked up at his massive brother. Now he just had to figure out how to wake him up.
"Al! Al look! We did it! My arm and leg are back to normal!"
It was then that he noticed Al was nowhere in sight.
"Hey Al! Alponse! Where are you? We can't be split up like this! The military is still looking for us!"
