The first thing that Mai heard was a heartbeat. The heartbeat was very soothing. It reminded Mai of something from her childhood. For long minutes Mai just floated there in midair.
Wait.
Floating?
Mai opened her eyes to see that she was encased in some kind of cocoon suspended in the air by two reddish tendrils which came from the organic ceiling and the floor. The cocoon itself was comfortable enough but Mai was starting to panic and the surrounding area didn't help matters.
Mai's surroundings were definitely organic as if she was within a living creature. Mai couldn't move much in the cocoon. Oddly enough there was what looked like a walkway as if it had been somehow made for people to be in this place. Mai could even see a doorway on the far end of the chamber she was currently in. She saw other cocoons around her that looked exactly like the one she was imprisoned in.
"Hello?" called out Mai. "where am I?"
No response other than the heartbeat. The room pulsated with the heartbeat. Mai tried to free herself from the cocoon but she wasn't strong enough. In fact Mai felt weaker than usual. As if her strength was being sapped from her body. Mai didn't have the energy to do much of anything.
The last thing Mai remembered was being knocked unconscious by the shaking and that loud noise. How did she end up here? Where was here?! It looked like she was most certainly inside of someone living.
"Hello?!" called out Mai louder this time.
"No need to shout" came a feminine voice.
The voice came from a beautiful woman with long white hair and with skin the color of pink bubblegum. The woman had black eyes with red pupils. She had black fingernails that looked more like claws. The woman had walked into the chamber with a great big smile plastered on her face. It was a triumphant smile, a satisfied smile. The woman walked until she was in front of the cocoon that held Mai.
"Who are you?" asked Mai. "and where am I?"
"I'm Android 21," said the woman with a mock bow. "and you're inside me, all comfy and cozy"
"More androids?" asked Mai. "Like 17 and 18?"
"More like Cell" replied Android 21. "although I'm far more superior than Cell ever was"
"What do you mean by inside you?" asked Mai.
Android 21 giggled. "I turned you into candy and ate you. A perfect trap for Trunks"
"You... what?" asked Mai utterly confused. "shouldn't I be in your stomach?"
"Oh, you are" said Android 21 patting her bare midriff. "you're just in a chamber right next to my stomach. This is where I keep my prisoners. Like I said, you're the bait for Trunks"
"Where is Trunks?"
"Where I left him if I had to guess" replied Android 21 as she shrugged her shoulders.
"You...turned me into candy?" asked Mai.
"I was made the same way that Cell was," said Android 21. "my cells are infused with cells of a being called Majin Buu who never rose to power thanks to 17 and 18. Buu had very unique abilities that included turning his opponents to into candy and other sweets. As Buu consumed his enemies, the stronger he would get. Same goes for me"
"So...you're looking to eat Trunks to gain more power?" asked Mai.
Android 21 nodded and said, "I have no doubt that Trunks will find me eventually. See ya later"
Android 21 turned to look at another cocoon/pod that Mai couldn't see that was on the other side of the chamber. A look of pure contempt came over the beautiful face before Android 21 melted into the floor and vanished.
Mai could tell that there were other pods in the chamber like hers but couldn't look at them directly. Mai could see into the next chamber somewhat. The next chamber appeared to be a pit. Mai could see there was a thin ledge to walk on.
Mai couldn't tell where the light was coming from for the chamber she was in was lit and so was the other chamber. Perhaps the light was coming from the fleshy walls themselves?
There was a bright flash of right in front of the cocoon that held Mai and a man suddenly appeared. A man with a wide-brimmed hat with a long red feather in it. The man looked around before walking forward.
"Hang on" said the man. "I'll get you out"
The man grabbed the slimy tendril that held the cocoon suspended in midair. The man started to pull at the tendril and with great trouble able to rip out the tendril from the floor. The man then pulled a long knife from a pocket and took careful aim before throwing it at presumably the tendril that was attached to the ceiling. The cocoon that held Mai fell to the floor with a dull thud.
"Who are you?" asked Mai as the man carefully cut away at the cocoon. The man didn't answer until Mai was fully out of the cocoon/pod. Almost immediately after being freed from the pod, Mai felt her strength returning slowly but surely.
"You can call me Benson" said the man.
"Where did you come from?" asked Mai.
"I was in one of these pod things" replied Benson nodding at the two dozen pods in the chamber. Each pod had a sleeping person in it with just their faces poking out.
"How did you get out of your pod?" asked Mai.
"Thanks to one of my rings" replied Benson holding up his hands. There were three or four rings on each finger including the thumb. Mai blinked at all the rings that Benson were wearing.
"All of these are magical rings" continued Benson. "one of these babies allows me to teleport to anywhere I want -- as long as I can see where I'm going to end up that is"
"So," sighed Mai. "I guess that means you can't teleport us out of here"
"No" said Benson. "we're kinda stuck here"
The pod chamber had two exits; one that led to the stomach and Mai couldn't imagine where the other exit led to.
"This is one weird place" said Mai looking around the chamber. The chamber was twenty feet long and probably ten feet tall.
"I've been in plenty of places that were, perhaps, even stranger than being in the belly of some kind of android" said Benson.
"What do you say we do some exploring?" asked Mai.
"I have nothing better to do" said Benson, smiling.

Android 21 flew high in the air looking down at the thriving cities below. Unlike in her home dimension, this dimension was filled with populated cities. Android 21 could sense there were several high power levels. She sensed two huge ones to the west of her location and she sensed one big one to the east. Neither of the powers were as big as Trunks to be certain but they were definitely high.
The female android came to a relatively remote area with few people and cities around. She stopped in midair and looked down to look in the center of a dense forest of mostly pine trees. There she saw a lone log cabin that looked as if nobody had lived there for years. Perfect hiding place.
Android 21's immediate plan was to look somewhere to hide for a bit before beginning her feast. It would be glorious! She would be glorious!
Android 21 was about to land when she suddenly spotted someone on the banks of a nearby river that was less than a mile away from the log cabin. She flew over to the river bank and landed near the unconscious body of an older teenager.
"Aren't you a handsome one" mumbled Android 21 as she examined the unconscious boy. The young man was wearing tattered clothing. She saw some kind of tattoo on the bare shoulder. It was a stylish letter M.
