Hakubi walked out of the log cabin he shared with three women. The three women were the love of his life, Mihoshi, her partner at the GP, Kiyone, and the clone of Washu's daughter Ryoko named Minagi. Minagi was the exact copy of Ryoko save for her personality. Minagi was the result of some scientist getting a sample of Ryoko's DNA and cloning her.
Hakubi walked in the early morning air heading for his favorite exercise spot which was at the top of a high hill. Said hill had a wide flat top which made it ideal for Hakubi's morning routine. The hill was a little over a mile from the log cabin.
As Hakubi walked up the gentle slope of the hill he sensed that he was being watched. He glanced around but saw nobody. He then looked up and, again, saw nobody. Hakubi paused for a long moment before continuing his climb. The sense that he was being watched didn't go away.
The top of the hill had a single tree on it. Standing at the bottom of the tree was a woman with flowing white hair and black eyes. As Hakubi walked closer to the woman he saw that the woman had a resemblance of a certain chubby demon known as Majin Buu. Hakubi had met Majin Buu once before.
"Majin Buu?" asked Hakubi. " You finally absorb 18? "
The female looked blankly at Hakubi for a moment before replying, "Don't compare me with that fat blob....and why would I want to absorb an android who is inferior to me?"
" Don't let 18 know you said that" said Hakubi. "Well, if you're not Majin Buu who are you?"
" Call me Android 21" said the woman striking a pose that revealed her tail.
" Just how many androids did Dr. Gero create? " asked Hakubi.
"Never mind Gero" said Android 21. "I'm looking for a sword that can kill a god"
Hakubi kept his expression under tight control on the outside. Inside he was having a mild panic attack. He could sense that this Android 21 was powerful. The air around her practically hummed with power.
"And you're under the impression that I have such a weapon?" asked Hakubi . "I live in a simple log cabin for God's sake. Do you really think I would have it?"
" Well.... " said Android 21. "Since you don't have it, I have no need for you". Here, Android 21 lifted her hand and a round pink energy ball appeared. Android 21 then fired the ball of energy at Hakubi. Instead of running for cover or preparing to reflect the attack Hakubi just stood there with both his arms behind his back.
The beam of pink energy continued its way towards Hakubi until it got within a foot of Hakubi. Then the pink beam was stopped dead by what was unmistakably a force field. The expression on Android 21's face didn't change. Hakubi gave the slightly bewildered Android 21 a grin.
"I have ways of defending myself" said Hakubi. "I picked up a few tricks from dear old mom"
"And who is your mother?" asked Android 21.
"Isn't it obvious?" asked Hakubi pointing at his hair. "Washu is my mother"
" Why would the son of Washu be living in the stomach of his aunt? " asked Android 21.
"Any number of reasons" said Hakubi. " I might be here on vacation, I might be here because I got into an argument with mom, or I might be here because I wanted to explore this pocket universe"
"Or you might be guarding the sword I'm looking for" said Android 21.
"You see a sword on me?" asked Hakubi who was quite unarmed at first glance.
Android 21 looked in the direction of the log cabin which was visible from the top of the hill. "I just have to look for it in the cabin you live in th--"
That was when Hakubi struck with an energy sword in his hand. He covered the considerable distance between himself and Android 21 in seemingly an instant. Android 21 had barely enough time to parry the attack with her tail. Hakubi and Android 21 traded punches that didn't land because of the speed the two were going.
"You're no stranger to fighting" said Android 21.
"Of course not" said Hakubi. "I've been alive for 17,000 years. In that time I made a few enemies"
Android 21 chuckled. "Well, looks like I need to go all out with you"
"Good" said Hakubi. "I want this to be challenging"
Android 21 growled as she shot several ki blasts right at Hakubi's face in quick succession. Hakubi managed to dodge them all by inches. Then the two vanished from normal sight as they fought at seemingly impossible speeds.
Several minutes crawled by. Both Hakubi and Android 21 reappeared with several bruises on each of their bodies.
"Is this really all out for you?" asked Hakubi. " Because I'm not all that impressed "
Android 21 smiled a truly evil smile. Hakubi's face fell as he whirled around to see a floating pink blob coming right at him. The pink blob was clearly a part of Android 21 that had been sliced off at some point during the fight. The pink blob grew huge to cover Hakubi. Hakubi sliced at the pink blob with his sword. The sword did manage to slice apart the blob but it regenerated almost immediately.
The blob swallowed up Hakubi. The pink blob then shot forward at Android 21 until it rejoined with her body.
"If I can't turn you into candy than I have another option" said Android 21 seemingly to herself. "That was the first time I ever absorbed anyone"
Android 21 then speeded her way towards the log cabin. She landed just outside the door. Android 21 kicked the door down. Then she entered the cabin.
The cabin was empty save for furniture. Android 21 searched in every room and in every closet and drawer but found nothing.
After twenty minutes of carefully searching the cabin Android 21 came to the conclusion that the sword wasn't in the cabin. Android 21 walked out of the cabin but not before passing by a mirror. The android paused to look in the mirror to see that her hair had changed to match the hair of Hakubi.
"Huh" said Android 21.
Android 21 then took to the skies.
Minagi emerged from the floor a scant five minutes after Android 21 had left. She had Kiyone and Mihoshi in tow.
"That was....an odd sensation" said Kiyone.
" That's why I don't usually hide in the ground " said Minagi who shivered slightly.
Mihoshi looked around. "Where's Hakubi? You think he was killed?"
"I doubt he's dead" said Kiyone. "I have sparred with him before and I know he's not dead"
"But then where is he?" asked Minagi. "If he's not here...."
Kiyone shrugged . "Who knows? I would imagine the fight wasn't easy even for him"
" Should we go looking for him? " asked Mihoshi.
"Absolutely not" said Kiyone. "We still have a duty; keep that sword hidden"
"What worries me is that Tokimi swallowed a dangerous person such as whatever that was" said Minagi.
"Unless she was disguised as someone not so dangerous somehow" said Kiyone thoughtfully .
"A possibility I suppose" said Minagi.
Mihoshi had went outside the cabin. She hadn't gone far. She was looking at the hill that Hakubi liked to go to on mornings.
Kiyone joined Mihoshi some minutes later.
"I'm sure Hakubi is alive" said Kiyone putting a hand on Mihoshi's shoulder.
"I hope so" said Mihoshi.
