“Let me think about it for a minute,” Naota says. Marking his spot in the book, he closes it and puts it at his side. Haruko is looking at him patently with her big toothy grin. Naota narrows his eyes at the older and less mature woman. She responds by only smiling harder.
“Do I want the help from my juvenile, crazy house keeper? Who torments me every chance she gets and is only here because my dad wants to get in her pants.” Pretending to think for a moment, Naota picks his book back up and continues to read. Haruko waits silently for his answer, but after a few seconds, she loses the little amount of patience she has and plucks the book from between Naota’s hands.
“Hey!” Naota cries as he sees Haruko holding his book over his head. Reaching for it, she pulls it back and stands up. Reaching for his book again, she hoists it out of his grasp and holds it above his head.
“Give that back!” He cries in indignation. His grades are already slipping because of Haruko’s constant bothering, if he doesn’t ace this test then he can kiss his grade point average out the window.
“Nope,” Haruko taunts as she watches the boy she so adores to torment stand on his tiptoes trying to take back his property. She lowers her hand slightly, so his fingertips can just barely touch the book. Before he can take it back, Haruko tosses his book out of the open window.
“No!” Naota screams as he sees his grade point average literally go out the window. Rushing to his windowsill, he looks out to see his book lying in the middle of the road. He sighs at seeing that it is perfectly fine; maybe he isn’t screwed after all. His relief is short lived because a truck comes veering down the road and runs over his book. He gaps as he sees paper fly around after being tenderized by the trucks big wheels. The destroyed sheets float away in the wind, leaving the scarce remains of his schoolbook all over the road.
“Damn, talk about bad luck, huh Tak-kun?” Hazuki says, shaking her head.
Spinning around to look at Haruko, Naota points a trembling finger at her. He can’t believe that this is happening, his grade point average is definitely destroyed, but with his book gone, he can say hello to summer school. He’d never pass his biology class with his book destroyed and it all was because Haruko couldn’t learn to act like a civilized person.
“Yyyyyyyouu….yyyoou… yoou… yyyou….” He stutters, while trying to find the right word to express the anger he feels boiling up inside him.
“Yah, me,” Haruko says, with a chuckle. “I guess that your going to need my womanly advice to help you understand where babies come from. Well not to worry Tak-kun, I may of never popped one out, but I know how to pop them in.” Ignoring her ramblings, Naota sits on his bed and places his hands over his face. His only chance of not dropping out lied with a woman that liked to pick her nose with her toes. The word screwed didn’t even begin to describe how much trouble he was in.
