Aisha and Melfina watched with interest at the weird macho fight going on between Gene and Jim. Nether male was trying to hurt to other, but they were giving each other some scrape and bump. Aisha was about to speak with Melfina about how stupid boys were, when she saw that something was bothering the bio-android. Worried about what was troubling her friend and comrade, Aisha tapped Melfina on the shoulder.
“Something the matter Mel?” Aisha asked fretfully for her friend.
“If I asked you something, would you get mad?” Melfina asked nervously.
“Of coarse I won’t get mad, unless it has to do with me lessening my meals, then we got a problem.” Melfina giggled at the mock look of anger on Aisha’s face.
“I was wondering if you would mind if I unbirthed Jim?” Melfina asked softy. To which Aisha replied definitely not softly.
“YOU WANT TO UNBIRTH MY JIMMY!” She shouted right in Melfina’s face. Gene and Jim both heard the commotion and stopped their play fighting. The stopped right when Jim was holding Gene’s leg up, so the man fell to his butt at the sudden pause.
“Why would you want Junior between your legs when you got me around? I know how to make the ladies scream and I guaranty that with how much you can stretch I’ll have you calling me daddy,” Gene said boastfully, jamming his thumb towards his confident face.
“I’m sorry Gene, but this isn’t about sex or pleasure. It’s about building a connection between two people; it’s about mutual love that has nothing to do with lust. I need a person that I can put your faith in call my kin, not a boyfriend.” Melfina put her hand over her heart as she spoke, feeling it beat harder when she talked about faith, kin, connections and mutual love.
“No,” was Aisha’s only response.
“Please Aisha, I’m not going to steal Jim from you,” Melfina asked with hopeful eyes.
“No,” Aisha responded again.
“You won’t stop being his mother, only he’ll have me as well,” Melfina trey to reason.
“No,” Aisha kept at.
“Jim would just have two mothers, who he could love equally,” Melfina said with a big heart.
“No,” Was all she said.
“You’ll always be his first,” Melfina argued.
“No,” like a broken record she said.
“Can you at least come with me so we could talk about this privately.” Melfina asked as her last resort.
