Steve was back to being fully dressed with his custom shot glass in hand. He was sitting on the counter with Angela on a chair in front of him as he recounted the tales of the day. Currently, he was at the part where Mandy's mom confronted the girls after he was swallowed by Mandy.
"So, after hearing Jenny say you gave permission to swallow me and that I didn't want to because I'm mean, Louise came to the conclusion that it was a way to deal with my when I act like a jerk. It was only after I brought up the fact that Jet was there too did she decide to take me away from the girls to talk. After telling her about the terror Tulip had been, she figured out that I wasn't being a jerk."
"With that misconception out of the way, she wanted to know how the miscommunication happened. Turns out, she's very familiar with having a spouse that plays the radio loud while driving." Angela looked appropriately ashamed that she had let that get passed her. "Oddly, she became very friendly after that. It was kind of weird."
His wife's eyes went wide as she realized the implication that Steve had apparently missed. She couldn't blame him, since he's far more used to being on the lookout for hungry looks on someone wanting to taste him, not the look of someone who wanted him to replace her current husband. Still, it was also partly her fault for accidentally sending him into that situation in the first place.
Setting her own drink down, she'd say, "I'm sorry, Steve. I keep taking you for granted. I've been your wife for years and even went through the process that would allow me to have your kids. Yet, here I am, forgetting to support you when your words are the only defense you have. If I was a truly the lesser person I've been acting like, then we wouldn't have gotten nearly this far."
Steve could only stare at his wife's declaration. She was generally more of a ditz. But here she was, pouring her heart out. Then again, he should know just how different people can act between when they're serious and when they aren't. To answer her sincerity, he'd say.
"I'm just happy that we're still together, Angela. It was just some quirk of fate that I was born with this syndrome. Blaming yourself isn't going to fix things. Let's just live and learn."
He'd polish off his latest shot, while his wife picked up her own to toast his suggestion. With that bottle of booze empty, Angela picked Steve up.
"How about I make it up to you...master." There was her ditziness shining through. When she wanted to apologize, she'd "reverse" who would be wielding the power in a couple between a normal person and a tiny.
"Let's go somewhere private and cuddle." He'd state as they got into their usual roles. With a blush, she'd drop him into her cleavage before heading to the bedroom.
