Tiny Tutor Time? Tiny Way Of Life chapter 40 by copier · original author: a27293

"Thanks, but no thanks. I'm not your test subject. Can I call my parents, now?"

...

"Huh?" Tien looks genuinely startled by your reaction, and then she realizes what she's holding. "Oh! Oh, I'm so sorry! No, not that." she apologizes profusely, setting down her glass. "No, it's for-" instead of explaining, she just dips the syringe into the wine bottle, drawing out a bit of the drink into it. "No, I want you to tutor Sora. No needle, see?" She rushes to clarify, quickly taking up the discarded toothpaste cap and filling it from the syringe, before setting them both down in front of you. "For the record, I don't do research anymore these days, anyway. I'm practicing."

"O-oh." You calm down instantly, somewhat embarrassed. "Right. Uh..." "I'll go get that phone" she jumps in, moving to leave. You stop her.

"No! That's, that's fine. Sorry."

Now that you're both feeling somewhat awkward, you fill the slightly heavy moment of silence by picking up your cap and drinking deeply as she sits back down. You're no wine aficionado, so you expect the doctor's beverage is somewhat richer than you can really appreciate, but, hey. It's not like you're wasting much. "So, uh. Tutor?" You ask awkwardly, as the bitter beverage starts warming your gut. "Why? Uh," you wave your arms disjointedly at the TV display, in which you dangle by your ankle from a costumed Sora's grinning jaws. "Because of... that??" You make no effort to hide your great confusion.

"Hah! That." Tien seems to drop her awkwardness immediately, chuckling fondly at the TV. "No. Not exactly. But if I could ask, why didn't the two of you mention it when you were filling me in earlier?"

She looks at you expectantly, but with plain curiosity instead of malice. Apparently, her daughter licking you repeatedly didn't bother her much at all... well, then again, what exactly could she have expected you to do about it? You answer frankly: "Because it's embarrassing. I'm a grown man, not a chew toy." You grimace. "Well. Except when I am. And for a given value of 'grown', but still."

Tien chuckles a little at your response. "Fair enough." She shifts into the couch cushions, letting the slippers drop from her feet and pulling them up beside her, turning sideways to face you. "I want to thank you for putting up with it. It might be a little selfish of me, but it feels good seeing her have-"

She's cut off by the TV, as the auto-play slideshow suddenly goes into video. Sora was recording!?

You cringe, watching your earlier self on screen as it looks up in tired exasperation, the little girl's tongue having just swept your other leg into her jaws. You see yourself sigh deeply as her lips purse together around your calves, pushing out gobs of spit that drip down and soak your legs and shorts. Then, with a series of wet, slurping sounds interspersed with unrestrained, childish giggling, you watch yourself get sucked up into her mouth, bit by bit, until your hands and put-upon looking face finally disappear between her lips. At this point, the camera shakes slightly as Sora poses into the mirror, making a show of swishing her morsel around, then shows off a big, exaggerated swallow. "Ahhh!" She opens wide into the mirror and sticks her tongue out, showing off how empty her mouth is - although looking closely, you can see your whole right arm sticking out from underneath her tongue, by the molars. Sora closes her mouth with a slight giggle, smiles at the mirror, and winks, and then, thankfully the video ends.

"Okay, did we have to watch that whole thing?" You ask, your face now beet-red. Not knowing where to look, you decide to stick your face into your wine cap again, and this time drain it dry.

"Oh. Sorry." Leaning aside casually and turning off the TV, Tien answers you lightly, before settling back and sipping from her own glass again. "You have to understand, it's been years since I've seen Sora just have fun like that. Not that I want to hire you to be her chew toy, I mean!" She rushes to clarify, seeing you start to frown.

"But you want to hire me because I can be?" You ask, feeling a little affronted. You start to feel a buzz coming on. Normally, your body's unusually chemically-resistant, for its size, and it still is. You've been sober for quite a long time lately, however...

"No, not at all." Tien objects. She moves to pick up the syringe again, dropping some more fluid into your empty cap. "I want to hire you because she's... how do I put this? She's a nervous wreck, and every thing we've done to try to socialize her has only made it worse. She has no self-confidence, so she's afraid to do or say anything around strangers, though-" she gestures towards the TV - "obviously, with you, it's-" Sora's voice interrupts her, all of a sudden. "Mom?"

The little girl is peeking around the corner into the room, looking imploringly at her. "Is everything okay? With Stevie? Is- is anyone in trouble?" She pleads, sounding regretful over something.

Tien chuckles. "Trouble? No, sweetie." She reassures her. "No one's in trouble. Mommy just wants Stevi- wants Steve to herself for a little while, okay?"

You take another drink as the woman soothes her nervous daughter, then stand up. The alcohol's in full swing, now. "Actually, someone is in trouble." You correct, pointing directly up at Sora from your sofa perch. "You, girlie! You're still in trouble for earlier. So, for your first task, let's see... I want you to be good, and wait patiently while I talk with your mom for a while, okay? Let's see... study, or practice your singing or something. Now, I wanna hear a 'yes, Lord Steven'!" You bark out the order imperiously, liquid fire burning through your veins and filling you with confidence. Sora stares at you in disbelief for a half-second, and then collapses into giggling.

"Yes, Lord Steven!"

She gives a mock salute, then disappears skipping down the hall, still laughing.

"So." As you turn back to Tien, you see her set her glass aside and start silently applauding you, bowing her head slightly in an exaggerated show of mock respect. Setting your own cup down, you fold your arms and talk to her directly: "If you're trying to pay me to be her punching bag, I- *hic* I'm not really interested, thanks."

"Noo, that's perfect! See? You can handle her!" Grinning broadly, she surprises you by suddenly laying back on the cushions, stretching herself across the couch with her hands behind her head, resting on the sofa arm opposite you. She writhes and wriggles around slightly as she goes on, shifting her six-foot frame to get more comfortable. You watch her lithe midsection twist and turn below you, the t-shirt hugging it just tight enough, and...

"I'll pay you 21k a year, six days a week, salaried." Tien keeps talking as she settles into the couch. "Also living expenses, paid vacations, sick days. Oh, and I'll sponsor your remedial courses for that last year of high school. And if you stick with it for six years straight, we'll fund your college tuition after." With one knee bent up, the other angled outwards, she rests both of her stockinged feet at the base of the couch arm right below you, then arches an eyebrow as if daring you to do something about it. "Thoughts?"

Distracted by the view, mentally on your back foot from her playful, confident expression, and booze coursing through your brain - the woman's an expert negotiator, apparently. You try thinking it over, and...
