Playing dead Tiny Way Of Life chapter 12 by copier · original author: promethea

After staring at the cat, your first instinct is the drop your head down and lie still. You've seen plenty of cats in your day, and they always seem to lose interest pretty quick when their prey stops moving. You feel the thump of the cat as it turns around, It's breath is on you. Your body is then nudged around by its nose. It's trying to coax you into moving. You don't give in.

For a minute, nothing happens. You think that it might have finally gone away. That's when you feel its jaws close around you. It's pulling you into its maw! You can feel its sharp teeth scrape over your head and gently grasping you by your shoulders. You can feel the cat's tongue against the back of your head as it starts pulling you inside. You then feel its teeth let go. It suddenly lurches its head forward and uses its tongue to draw more of your body inside. You feel the teeth resting around your waist now. Your arms and hands are resting on something slick; you open your eyes in panic to get a look. You can see your body resting on the fleshy interior of the cats mouth, along with the rows of sharp teeth that are currently sitting on your waist.

Again, the cat lets go of you then lurches forward. You can't see anything anymore, your head is wedged into the entrance of the cat's throat. You can feel it's teeth holding you just below your knees now.

The back of your mind is telling you that playing dead clearly isn't working...
