You hear something that sounds like a splash coming from down the hallway. The cat must be on its way! You panic and make a run for the couch, and dive in underneath. You lay there for minutes, listening for the approaching predator but hear nothing. After waiting a few more minutes, you do the stupid thing. While staying as quiet as you can, you peek your head out from under the couch and look for the feline. Once again. Nothing, just the empty room. Weird.
You carefully crawl out when the door opens behind you. “Ack!” you shout in surprise and dive back under the couch. You peek your head out again and see Christina coming through the door. You assume from her casual locking of the door that she didn’t see you. Holding a couple full plastic bags, she passes by the couch and heads into her bedroom.
She stops at the entrance and screams out something so loud that it causes you to crouch back under the couch. “WHAT! THE! FUCK!” she screams. You can’t see much, but you certainly notice the cat scrambling out of the bedroom and into the living room with you. “ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS!” She starts stomping your way.
What is going on?
