A Titanic Victory Tiny Way Of Life chapter 22 by copier · original author: matheson

You feel a rough texture against your arm as you lean. Picking up the object, you start to get excited. You can't say for sure, but you feel pretty confident that this might actually be the blueberry. Its slightly smaller than the rest, and it feels right but is it?... You take a small bite just to be sure and... Yes! It actually is. It must have managed to stay above the grapes this whole time. You can hardly believe that you found it in this condition. You hold it tightly against your chest and wait for Tulip to bring you back up.

In a few minutes time, your body emerges from Tulip's mouth. As you slide out, you don't even try to hide the smug-ass grin on your face. When Tulip pulls you away to get a look, you present your prize. Your smugness only amplifies once you see her triumphant expression turn to shock. The other girls' faces crowd around to see. "Holy shit..." Theresa says. Olga shakes Tulip's shoulder, "hey, he actually found it!" As the girls make their comments, you decide to bask in the glory. "Oh, this?" you say modestly. You then hold the blueberry with one hand and use the free arm to flex at the girls. "Chyea, totally found it as soon as I dropped in there. No big deal."

As you finish your sentence, some of the saliva coating your body slides down the top of your head into your eyes. "Ack!" you exclaim as you frantically wipe it off. Theresa and Mercedez burst into laughter. "Okay then, macho man", Theresa says between laughs. You laugh with them, slightly embarrassed. Looking over at Olga, you see that she wasn't too moved but is at least smiling; Tulip seems to be the only stick in the mud. You could almost swear you could see steam rising off of her irritated face.

After the girls recover from their fit, Tulip holds you between her fingers. "Well, looks like you've won. Congratulations." You see some restraint in her expression. 'What is she hiding?', you wonder. "Oh, yeah. What is the prize anyways?" Mercedez answers first, "you get to watch a movie with us, your pick." Olga interjects, "-BUT while we watch the movie, you have to be our servant. So whenever we ask you to do something, you do it. capeesh?" Your brain translates the message quite clearly. It's still going to suck, but it's better than being trapped in one of their bellies all night. You nod in agreement.

The girls take you back inside the house and into the bedroom you assume is Mercedez'. Mercedez and Tulip leave the room to prepare snacks while you are left with the remote, they decide to leave the string on you for an extra touch of humility. Olga and Theresa are also in the room with you. The two girls work quickly to move a second bed from the other side of the room and push it against the one you are sitting on. Olga then grabs you and the remote, and places you between the two of them.

They then lay back and critique your choices of movies as you see what's available. You go back and forth between a few you might like when an idea hits you. If you pick something the girls will be interested in, they'll be more likely to leave you alone. You keep an ear open as you flip through the selection. Olga goes on about the best romances, while Theresa seems to be more interested in comedies.

You don't know girls too well, but you always hear about them liking sappy love stories. In the end you choose a movie called Titanic. You've never seen it yourself, but you have heard about it before. Olga commends your excellent taste, which boosts your confidence about the decision a bit.

The three of you wait until Mercedez and Tulip return from the kitchen. The girls walk in with a smorgasbord of snacks on plates. Mercedez moves across the room and lays next to Theresa, while Tulip turns off the lights and then sits next to Olga. Once the snacks are arranged to be within arm's reach, the movie is started.
"Titanic, huh... Never seen it." Tulip says at the title. "You'll love it!" Olga says.
...
The movie starts and you figured that the girls would ask you for something right off the bat, but they don't. You accept the reprieve with open arms. It doesn't take you long to realize that the movie sucks, 30 minutes in and not a single explosion or fight scene. Is this the kind of crap people liked back in the 90's? You start looking around the room, seeing all of Mercedez' knick-knacks. Obviously someone else stays in the room too, she must have a sister. Turning your attention to the girls, you see that both Tulip and Olga are totally engrossed in the movie. Theresa and Mercedez look pretty bored, though.

You flinch as Theresa catches your eye. She smiles when you lock eyes, and asks "Steve, can you..."
