It been a day after what had happened during the stake out at the occult the unborn of divinity. To where Maya had forcibly unbirthed a divine fetus meant for countering the ritual to combat the occult. It was also meant to help proceed the ritual as well. Maya stayed at Ami's place to hide for the time being. It was a Saturday, today.
Ami and Kozue were busy trying to translate the spell given to Maya. They had gone out to the academy to research about it, leaving Maya at home. Ami's father helped out Maya and kept her secret a secret from her father Junichiro. They just made a call early that day and she made an alibi.
"Urgh. It's a pain having an overprotective father." Maya thought as she rubbed the temples on her forehead. She felt the unborn move a bit as she rubbed the spot.
She also received a call from the younger Bunmei which she also made an alibi but her father would spend some time with him that day. Maya sighed in relief. She sat on the tatami floor, littered with empty plates. Maya carried the plates to the kitchen sink and cleaned them but her stomach growled again. She looked at it in disbelief.
"Really? I just ate an hour ago and you're hungry?" Maya said to her belly. She felt a strong kick.
"Ow! Okay! Okay! Sheesh! No need to be a grouch about it!" Maya said, a bit annoyed.
Maya was taking her newfound pregnancy well but she needed a disguise. Ami and Kozue bought some large clothing as well as some maternity wear. She looked at them disapprovingly.
"Those two have no sense of fashion. But I need a disguise. Who knows where the members of the occult maybe." Maya pondered as she selected her clothes. She had already taken a bath earlier that day.
Maya decided to go with a long floral gown the accentuated her curves. It was light blue with flying birds patterned with clouds which she thought was cute. She had sporty shorts on as well as her undergarments. She also wore slippers. She also wore a Satisfied with her look, she made her hair into a bun which she tucked it underneath a yellow bucket hat and square rimmed glasses.
"Perfect disguise!" Maya said to herself as she posed in the mirror her unborn kicked in response.
Ami's father was out in the field so Maya left a note in the fridge. She ventured out to the city since the local shops didn't have what she wanted. She did some light grocery and bought some healthy take out food while eating at the restaurant.
