The regressing Haruhiko!

Team E which composed of Haruhiko, Mai, Reina, Koito, Ruru and Kurumi took down a phantom causing a disturbance to a national park by dumping trash and littering. Much to their annoyance, they were asked by the park administrators to help out with the clean up. Exhausted, they went back to Haruhiko. They left him, sitting on a park bench. Since the park was closed to take out the phantom in which they did with Reina eating him.
"Hey, Haruhiko! Time to go back to Himeno-sensei!" Mai yelled happily. Haruhiko looked up at Mai as he was reading a book.
As they approached him, they noticed something.
"Does he look younger to you?" Koito asked her teammates.
"Yeah, now that you mention it. His clothes look more loose on him!" Ruru pointed out.
"Argh, not that my problems aren't getting any worse." Mai mumbled as she placed her right hand on her forehead, quite fustrated of what was happening.
"Haruhiko-niichan. Why do you keep getting younger?" Kurumi asked while holding Albrecht.
Haruhiko looked at Kurumi, puzzled. "What do you mean? My birthday just past, I'm now four years old!" He said causing all of them to be shocked.
They immediately rushed back to the Academy as Himeno was worried as well. After getting a check and all seemed fine. But still Team E was worried for Haruhiko and to make matters worse, he found his newly regressed age normal! Himeno told Mai to give her updates in case of anymore changes.
"So what do we do now?" Reina asked worriedly as they walked home together. Mai was piggybacking Haruhiko who was asleep.
"We just have to hope and pray he doesn't get any younger." Mai said.
They all went their separate ways. People found it cute with Mai carrying Haruhiko. Some saying what a great big sister she was but what was surprising one person mentioned what a caring mother she was! This put a ring in her head as she shook it off. Mai bought some take out as they walked back to Mai's apartment.
Mai got home and changed while Haruhiko woke up. She fixed the table as they got ready to eat.
"Mom? Can you put ketchup on my burger steak?" Haruhiko asked.
This startled and stunned Mai, "Haruhiko, I'm your big sister like teammate, not your mom." She said, hoping to change his mind.
"Oh, right.Sorry Mai-neesan!" Haruhiko apologized politely. Mai got up and got the ketchup from her fridge, opened it and poured it on his burger steak.
"There? Happy?" Mai said as she went back to eating her ramen.
"Thanks, Mom!" Haruhiko said happily as he began to eat.
"I'm not your mom, Haruhiko...I'm..." Mai said as she had a sudden migraine. She grasped her head and shook it off." What was that?" Mai thought worriedly unaware of the pixelated room she was in as it reverted back to normal.
"What's wrong,mom?" Haruhiko asked worriedly.
"It's nothing, dear. You should finish your dinner. You still have homework to do!" Mai said to Haruhiko.
She paused for a moment realizing what she just said."Wait? Did I just call him, dear? What the heck!" Mai thought in confusion and shock as she shook her head once more.
"Haruhiko, how many times have I told you, I'm not your mom! I'm Mai! Your big sister teammate!" She scolded Haruhiko.
"Big sister? I've always known you to be my mom, mom!" Haruhiko said, confused as Mai was.
"Ergh! Just stop calling me,mom but Mai-neesan, Haruhiko." Mai said as Haruhikonkept quiet.
They finished their dinner as Haruhiko did his homework. Mai put the dishes in the dishwasher.
"Everytime he calls me mom my head starts to ache! Is this the new ability Himeno sensei was talking about?"" Mai thought as she watched Haruhiko do his homework.
