Mai was exhausted from buying stuff for the newly regressed Haruhiko. Despite receiving funds from Alayshiki thanks to their advisor Himeno. Haruhiko was a nitpicking, spoiled brat. He got to a point he made a assessment of Mai's room which was untidy due to Mai busy from part time work and school. Adding she now had to babysit Haruhiko who was now a child made it even worse. Mai had to clean up her room for Haruhiko's sake and noticed some qualities unique to him.
It was the next morning as Mai prepared breakfast for Haruhiko who Mai woke up. The school had prepared a uniform just for his size. Haruhiko stepped out of the bathroom.
"Mai-neesan, this uniform is a bit loose! Can you fix it?" Haruhiko asked, frustrated and confused.
Mai had their breakfast prepared and knelt down to see what was up.
"Weird. I was sure he was fitted his appropriate size. Did they get it wrong?" thought Mai as she looked at Haruhiko's uniform. "We'll get it fixed at school later. Eat breakfast or we will be late for the train!" She said.
The two made it to the train bit something kept nagging Mai. She shook her head to relieve that thought. Team E went along with the missions with Haruhiko standing by and watching. Mai also had a part time job. Mai was exhausted when she got home with Haruhiko but still had to make him dinner. She fell asleep as soon as she was done.
It wasn't till the next day when she woke up and looked at Haruhiko who was sleeping in a sleeping bag beside her. There she was shocked as she noticed that Haruhiko was indeed younger!
"I need to get to Himeno sensei and tell her about this!" Mai said in panic as she woke up Haruhiko.
They went to the usual routines only Haruhiko's uniform was more loose on him now! They made they're way to the assembly room for the phantom hunting club in which they were excused from classes. They were with the rest of Team E, Kurumi, Koito, Ruru and Reina.
"We is he getting younger, Himeno-sensei?" Reina asked curiously. All the girls surrounding Haruhiko as he was nervous. Kurumi holding Albrecht as she noticed that Haruhiko wanted to hug it too.
"It must be due to his new ability in which he can't control yet." Himeno answered, giving her idea on why Haruhiko was getting younger. "Even if we tell him to stop, subconsciously he maybe doing it. Human abilities can be used both willingly and unconsciously."
"So is Haruhiko-niichan going to get younger?" Kurumi asked worriedly.
"Probably, if he can't control or suppress his new ability." Himeno said worriedly.
"Is there any way to stop it?" Koito asked. Himeno shook her head.
"So it's up to him now." Mai said as they all looked worriedly.
Himeno clasped her hands, "Well no use worrying about it now. It maybe just temporary. We still need to find a way to get him back to normal." Himeno said, giving the team something else to think about and it worked.
"So what do we need to do to get him out of his younger form?" Reina asked, puzzled.
"Well, we could have him look at mature women!" Ruru yelled out as they shook their heads. The last time Ruru tried that, it caused Haruhiko to turn red in embarrassment.
"I think we just have to force him to grow up." Koito added.
Somehow, Mai liked Haruhiko like a little brother but him getting younger was bad enough which meant more needs. Not that she had anything to worry about it. Himeno gave them a mission and they headed out.
