"A...Asuka,"
Her eyes full of rage, Asuka would hear nothing.
"You left me alone with a psycho for what felt like an eternity, the size of a goddamn screw, and I'm supposed to be OKAY?! Why don't you just throw me in a fucking..."
At this point, Shinji began to ignore the tirades coming out of Asuka's mouth, realizing that they wouldn't cease for at least a few minutes.
"I guess Asuka's back to normal, huh?" Misato asked.
"I'd say so."
"Are you two even listening to me!?"
Shinji was about to respond to the question when from the other room, Rei stepped forward, looking at Asuka dead on. Her expression suddenly changed from infuriated to horrified, her eyes unable to take their gaze off of Rei's body as she entered the room.
"I heard noise. Is everything alright?"
Neither Shinji nor Misato didn't have the chance to speak up. Right away, Asuka answered "everything is fine."
"Very well then," Rei replied, her voice assertive and controlling. "I don't want you to cause a scene after all the effort Miss Ritsuko underwent to restore you. Now, I'm going to go home for now. I trust you'll be in soon as well."
"Of course," Asuka answered. With that Rei left, and Asuka looked very confused.
"Not...a...word," she growled. Neither Misato or Shinji said anything, instead choosing to merely giggle. Asuka soon left, apparently heading back to the apartment.
"What did Rei do to her?" Shinji asked.
"I don't know, but apparently she's the only one that can calm her down. So, wanna get lunch?"
"Sure," Shinji answered with a smile. "I just need to use the bathroom real quick."
"I'll meet you outside in about 10 minutes. You have my phone right?"
"Of course."
Ritsuko could only stare on at the casual conversation, jealousy the most obvious emotion. Why was everyone else, no matter how weird, getting someone while she was left alone? Damn Misato had all the luck in that department apparently.

Humming as he exited the restroom, Shinji began walking towards the exit. The last thing he wanted to do was keep Misato waiting.
"Shinji."
Unfortunately, the rather authoritative tone of the person behind him was going to keep him delayed for a bit longer.
