"Okay," said Revy barely maintaining not to laugh. "Now I know you're fuckin me"
Revy and Riza were sitting in the living room of one of the capsule houses. The two women were bonding through stories about killing people. It was Revy who had suggested the topic of conversation. The two women proceeded to tell each other old war stories -- in Riza's case it was literally war stories. Riza had left nothing out; she seemed eager to talk about it as if that would somehow soothe the guilt that she was feeling.
In the case of Revy there was no guilt whatsoever. Revy seem to revel in killing as if killing people actually turned her on. Riza was no psychologist but it was plain to see that Revy's life had been shattered in her younger days.
"No, really" said Riza. "the shot went straight despite the sandstorm coming in. Went nearly 6-700 yards straight into the head of an insurgent. Best shot I made in the war"
"Oh, you wanna talk about best shots now?" asked Revy taking a huge swig of the bottle of whiskey she had found in a refrigerator. "well, we were able to shoot down a fucking helicopter in the sky with just a torpedo"
"Now I know you're fucking me now" said Riza.
The TV in the room suddenly turned on. At first the screen showed nothing but static. A moment later, a stylish smiley face nearly filled the screen. The smiley face giggled for several long minutes when words appeared at the bottom of the screen: Hello there!
"The hell?" asked Revy.
The smiley face vanished from the screen and was replaced by a redheaded person. The face of the person looked to be genderless. The hair was a bit girlish but there wasn't even a hint of gender on the rest of the face. The face had googles covering the eyes. A thin wire came out of the googles and was attached to something that was off the screen. The face took up most of the screen. Due to the trees in the background, it was clear that the person was somewhere in the forest. The person was clearly wearing some kind of what looked like a cybernetic suit.
"Hello, hello!" said the person in a cheery voice.
"Who the fuck are you?" asked Revy.
"Edward is here," responded the person on the screen.
"Edward?" asked Riza. "we have too many people named Edward around here"
"Call me Radical Edward," sang Edward. "Ed is very close to you now. It hasn't been easy. Edward was transported to a desert that's far away. Edward is the reason those tablets are working now"
"Why are you talking in the third person?" asked Revy. "reminds me of that one Republican senator....err...Ah! It was Bob Dole"
"Edward always talked that way when she was born" said Radical Edward.
"You're a girl?" asked Riza.
Radical Edward grinned. "Edward is Edward"
"That's less than helpful" said Revy. "how are you doing this? This house doesn't even have power"
"Oh, Edward is glowy-glowy god" replied Radical Edward.
"Er, what?" asked Riza. "you say you're a god?"
Radical Edward nodded. "Edward fell into a vat of something that made her into a god. It took Edward a long time to figure out what type of god that she is. Now I know. Edward is a cybernetic god"
Riza and Revy exchanged bewildered looks.
"You said you're the reason that those tablets work?" asked Riza.
"The tablets are fine," replied Edward. "It was the satellite network that was dead....well, pretty much dead. Edward restored the network. It took some doing"
"How close are you?" asked Riza.
"Edward is three miles away," replied Edward after she glanced aside.
"Be careful out there" said Revy. "there are these hulking fucks known as nomu out there"
"Edward is very careful" replied Edward nodding sagely.

Radical Edward turned off the screen that had appeared on her wrist just above the transparent keyboard that surrounded her arm and hand. She hadn't come up with a name for what was surrounding her arm but she was leaning towards the name 'omni-tool'. Yeah, that was a good name for it.
"Come on, Ein point two" said Edward.
Ein Point Two-oh was a cybernetic dog made from the ruins of a downed satellite that Edward had discovered in the desert where she had appeared in. Ein Point Two-oh looked exactly like the real Ein. Ein 2.0 had been wondering around a sizable tree.
Edward started to walk with long strides with her noodly arms and legs swaying in wide arcs with Ein 2.0 just behind her.
Edward was wearing a cybernetic suit which made her look like a walking circuit board. Her feet was bare as usual. She whistled a tune as she walked.
Ein 2.0 was metal with small satellite dishes for ears. Ein 2.0 had been created by Edward's omni-tool that she thought of some twenty minutes before the Dimensional Cafe exploded.
Edward paused when she heard a twig snapping nearby. She removed the googles from her eyes. She had been net-diving the satellite network while she had been talking to those two women. Edward had been trying to gather as much information about this dimension as possible and the satellite network had made that much, much easier.
"Who's over there hiding out?" sang out Edward while Ein 2.0 growled.
Five beats of silence followed. Then Edward heard a tree being knocked over. Then a hulking beast came into view. It was ten feet tall and had four arms. It was built like a mountain with muscles upon muscles.
The beast rushed at Edward. Edward lazily leapt over the hulking beast while pointing the omni-tool at the thing. She landed catlike on the ground behind the beast and then read what was being displayed on the screen floating above the omni-tool.
"Hmmm" said Edward thoughtfully. "fascinating. Fascinating. You were built not born"
The beast turned around and threw a punch at Edward. Edward dodged the punch by leaping backwards, doing a flip in order to do so. She landed cat like on the ground again and typed furiously on the omni-tool.
A circle appeared just below the beast. The beast glanced down. "What's this?"
"Edward is testing something out" said Edward still typing away at the omni-tool. The circle below the beast grew brighter as it went up the body of the ten foot tall beast. It took less than a minute for the circle to go up the body.
The circle turned the muscled menace into chocolate.
"Whoah" said Edward. "that isn't what Edward wanted. Edward meant to turn you into a ice-ice cone"
Edward studied the chocolate beast, shrugged, and took a bite from the beast. "hmmm...delicious!"
In short order, Edward finished off the hulking chocolate beast. Her mouth was smeared with chocolate and she now sported a noticeable large stomach.
"Edward is full" muttered Edward sleepily rubbing at her belly. She stumbled for a few steps before falling at the foot of a tree.
"Edward is taking a nap, Ein..." said Edward typing away at her omni-tool. "Guard me"
Less than a minute later she fell asleep, slipping off the trunk and ended on the ground. She had fallen sound asleep.

Annie stomped her way through the forest. She had wandered off after eating Bulma and Levi. She didn't knew or cared if she was being followed.
Annie continued on her way until she spotted something down in the ground far below. She stopped in her path and bent down to look at the object in question. It was a simple box made out of mahgony with a thin gold trim at the edges. The box was firmly shut tight. Something told Annie that the box held something important..although Annie couldn't have said what gave her that impression. There was something really familiar about the box despite not ever seeing it before in her life.
Annie picked up the box and held it in her closed fist. Then she rose to her full height and continued on her way.
