Revy stopped breathing fire when she had run out of breath. For several tense minutes the fire remained burning. Nothing came from the fire. The fire died down leaving behind scortched earth and not much else. There was no evidence of the nomu that had been incinerated by the black fire. Revy just stood there glaring daggers at the spot where the nomu had been. Revy snapped out of it when Riza coughed to get her attention.
"Tough little fucker" said Revy grinning at Riza, putting her guns away. Revy reached to get another cigarette when Riza told her that a group went searching for Revy and the two other missing women.
"I saw them on the way here" said Revy, lighting up a cigarette. "looked like they were hunting for food"
"You mean they ate the group that went looking for them?" asked Riza.
"Most likely" replied Revy as she attempted to blow out a smoke ring. The smoke ring was more of a lopsided box than anything else. Riza fanned the smoke away.
"I can't believe you still smoke now that you're a dragon" said Riza.
"It's called an addiction, sweetheart" said Revy. "whatever made me this way didn't cure me of my dependence on cigs"
Riza opened her mouth to say something when she caught another scent in the air. It was definitely coming from the north and it was most definitely another dragon...and yet, the scent also smelled human. Revy had clearly sniffed the smell as well for she had adopted a weary expression.
A dragon flew over the encampment moments later. A dragon that had blond hair coming over her face. The dragon also had a human-looking chest and was wearing clothing. The dragon was holding one of those tablets that could somehow track people from another dimension. The dragon also had a bloated stomach.
The newcomer landed just outside the encampment. Riza and Revy came over to the newcomer.
"Glad to see another dragon out there" said Revy by way of a greeting. Introductions were exchanged.
"Seems like you like to eat too" said Revy.
"Well, yeah" replied Ryukyu. "ever since I visited that cafe, I came to enjoy... eating people"
"You're a " Pro Hero" " said Riza. "I assume you're from the same dimension as Tsuyu?"
"Huh?" asked Ryukyu. "oh. Yeah. Is she here?"
"Yeah" said Riza, caressing her fat stomach.
"We're becoming such blasé about devouring people" snorted Revy as she smoked her cigarette.
"You're human that can turn into a dragon?" asked Riza.
"It's my quirk" replied Ryukyu. "I'm afraid I'd be immobile if I turned back into my regular self. Besides, I'm gonna look for all the people that aren't from this dimension that are in this one"
"Watch out for Nomu" said Riza. "Revy here just roasted one"
"Yeah, I saw a couple on my way here" replied Ryukyu. "turns out incinerating them is the way to go"
Ryukyu paused and then took off into the air. Ryukyu flew westward.
Revy eyed Riza for several long moments. Riza just stared back at Revy.
"So," said Riza. "how did you manage to get new clothes?"
"These are my scales" replied Revy pointing at her clothes. "it took some trail and error to shape my scales into clothes...and even longer to figure out to load my guns"
"All thanks to the necklace you found?" asked Riza.
Revy nodded. "Apparently the necklace once belonged to a dragon god long ago. Found this at a crumbling temple complex"
"Grave-robbing, eh?"
Revy narrowed her eyes. "Yeah I am. Is there a problem with that?"
Revy's tone had changed to deadly serious. Riza averted her gaze from Riza. "Not really"
"Good" said Revy. "I'm tired of repeating the same fucking lecture"
Riza looked quizzically at Revy but said nothing. Revy studied Riza for a long moment. "You're like me; you're a killer"
Riza didn't confirm but also didn't deny it either.
"I partook in a massacre" said Riza in a subdued voice. "after seven years of non-stop war, the order came down....to kill civilians of a section of my very own country"
"You were in the army?"
"I still belong to the army" said Riza. "we found out just recently that the higher-ups of our military are all corrupt"
"And yet, you haven't quit the military" replied Revy. "waiting to shove their faces into the shitter?"
"Yeah," said Riza. "something like that"
"Just following orders" muttered Revy. "that's just what the Nazis said"
Riza blinked. "What's a Nazi?"
Revy looked somewhat taken aback. "No Nazis in your dimension?"
Riza shook her head.
"Right," said Revy. "Sit down. This could take a while"

Riza was less horrified by hearing what the Nazis did than she would've been when she had been still human. Riza wasn't human anymore and, as a result, her humanity had been taken away from her little by little. It wasn't completely gone but it was greatly diminished. Riza didn't even cry or show any other emotion after Revy told her about the atrocities that the Nazis committed. The Ishval massacre had many disturbing similarities to the holocaust. Riza had personally killed one thousand ishvalans during the war, most of them being civilians. Riza had tried her best to spare some of the combatants but she had her orders.
The army of Amestris slaughtered a little more than six million ishvalans. There were few ishvalans left after the war.
The difference between the Nazis and those who fought in Ishval was that people actually felt remorse for what they did in Ishval while the Nazis firmly believed in what they did was right or even justified.
Revy had left nothing out either. Revy told Riza pretty much everything about the holocaust and that of World War II.
"Yeah," said Riza. "that's just what we did; we were following orders. We knew what we were doing was wrong but we had our orders.."
"You don't seem that upset" said Revy.
"When I was turned into a homunculus I lost much of my humanity" said Riza. "If I were human, I suspect I'd be bawling my eyes out right about now"
"Would you now?" asked Revy.
"Of course I would!" snapped Riza.
Riza had told Revy about what happened in Ishval.
A long silence followed.
"So," said Revy. "nobody else was left behind the when the group went looking for me and the two that went with me?"
"Three others were left behind with me" said Riza.
Revy looked around at the encampment. "You ate them, didn't you?"
Riza nodded.
