Riza
Now that Riza was awake she did remember ordering room service. She had done that using Envy's voice for some reason. Why did she use Envy's voice to order food? The tray was piled with enough food to feed three people.
Riza accepted the tray of food and paid 50 cens for it which was about half the money she had with her.
"Thank you" said the delivery man pocketing the money and walked off down the hallway.
Riza turned to see Edward trying to stand up but he fell to the floor. Riza set the tray down at a small table and spent a few moments just standing there. In the next minute, Riza spat out Winry. Winry was covered in salvia making her skimpy dress cling to her body. Winry spent a minute getting reorient herself.
"Did Edward made love with your stomach?" asked the more mature voice of Lust.
"Only because I couldn't see where I was..." began Edward who left it unsaid as he blushed.
"And just why do you have a digestive system?" asked Lust. "You're supposed to have an endless black void"
"I have no idea" said Riza.
Lust looked over herself. "You just had to vomit me up, didn't you?"
"Well, let me swallow you down and you can go out through my ass" said Riza licking her lips.
Instead of answering, Lust sat down at the table and started to eat. Riza helped Edward to the table where he also started to eat. Riza sat down at the table and started to guzzle down food in little regard for manners.
"So..." said Edward after a lengthy pause. "You still like eating people, lieutenant? You need to stop that"
Lust let out a sort of hollow laugh and continued eating without comment. Riza continued to eat as if she hadn't heard Edward.
"There is a way to turning you back into a human" said Edward. "Both of you. A part of you is human, lieutenant. Why are you letting your hunger get the better of you?"
"How long can you hold your breath?" asked Riza after swallowing down a humungus burger in one bite.
"Huh?" asked Edward.
"How long can you hold your breath?" repeated Riza. "Do it now and let's see how long you can last without breathing"
"I don't see what that has gotta do with--" started Edward when Riza suddenly grabbed him by the throat. Her fist encircled his entire throat and she squeezed very, very gently. Edward struggled to release himself from the grip of Riza but it was no use. He was fighting just to breathe.
"It's not that easy to ignore the need to breathe" said Riza her voice turning icy. "Right now your lungs are screaming for air. The insnict to breathe is filling your entire being. Even when you're drowning, the instinct to breathe will, ironically, kill you. But you have little choice but to breathe because your body needs it. It needs air so badly that you have no will to ignore it any longer. So you breathe in water when you can't hold it anymore even though you're looking at a death sentence. Even when the act of breathing will kill you, your body will force you to breathe"
All that Edward could do was sputter and fought to free himself from the grip of Riza but her grip was superhuman. Edward was slowly turning blue.
Riza dragged Edward towards her across the table so that she was nose to nose with Edward.
"That is exactly what my hunger is like now, Edward" said Riza, releasing her grip to allow Edward to breathe. Edward spent several long moments to catch his breath. Edward sat back in his chair with wide eyes.
"I have to continue eating to keep the hunger in check" said Riza. "If I don't eat, the hunger within me will go berserk and drive me mad. In that state I won't care if you're an enemy or not. At that point you're nothing but food to satisfy my hunger. So don't lecture me about resisting my hunger"
Edward stared at Riza with mouth agape.
"I didn't mean to scare you but I had to make a point" said Riza. "It scares me too, Edward. I'm so hungry that I can't stand it. I won't ever be satisfied. I won't ever be rid of this hunger that wants to devour everything until I can be turned back into a regular human"
Edward started to eat at a steady pace.
"I won't say that turning back into a human is impossible" said Lust. "There just might be a cure out there somewhere"
There was a long pause in which the three ate at the food on the tray. Only Riza was eating with no regards for manners.
"So, this is an interesting place you found" said Lust looking around at the room.
"This is a restaurant called The Dimensional Cafe" said Riza. "It's supposedly ran by a group of gods"
"Gods are running restaurants now" said Lust. "I thought that the economy wasn't that bad"
"Do you two have any memories of the previous Lust and Gluttony?" asked Edward. "Since Greed remembers his last life, I would assume the same holds for you two"
"The memories are....hazy" said Riza after a thoughtful pause. "I have no distinct memories of the previous Gluttony; just flashes here and there. I have the impression of memories if that makes sense"
"I suppose it depends on the homunculus in question" said Lust. "I just remember having multiple lovers as the previous Lust. I can remember some of them but not all. I couldn't tell you just how many I had; I just know I had them. I can't name 'em all"
"And you're still on Father's side?" asked Edward.
"We are legion" said Lust. "We all share Father's ambition and the will to do it. We all want the same thing that Father wants. That's why we're so loyal to Father; he's in each of us"
"And yet, Greed was able to rebel" said Edward.
"Greed and Gluttony, here" said Lust.
Riza grimaced but said nothing for a moment. "Even I feel being pushed by Father but it's a distant voice. My hunger overpowers his voice"
"And Greed has always been a rebellious son" said Lust.
