Ishida looked onward at the facepaint wearing captain. Stepping forward once he made his intentions know, the Quincy shouted.
"I have beaten you before, Kurotsuchi. And I will do so again!"
"I'm sorry?" Mayuri asked, tilting his head in slight confusion at the Quincy's statement.
"By the honor of the Quincy's..."
"Oh, not this ridiculous pompousness again!" Mayuri interrupted, unaware that as the two began to exchange speeches, Chad and the others were sneaking away. "All I ever hear from your type is the honor of the Quincy's this or the honor of whatever that. What about science? What about progress?"
"Progress?" Ishida fired back, drawing his bow. "You've leveled the entire Soul Society and probably an entire human city!"
"It's acceptable in the name of knowledge, of science!" Mayuri answered. "Now, as to your..."
Mayuri suddenly stopped cold. Looking around, he realized that the others the loudmouthed Quincy had been traveling with had left the area. Where they had gone to was anyone's guess, but that was a secondary concern.
"Your continued disrespect for progress has become most upsetting," Mayuri shouted, drawing his zanpaktou. "Once I've removed you from this equation, the experiment will be bought to its conclusion, and I will have my added test subjects."
Uruyu on the other hand, was far less polite about his intentions as he pointed an arrow right at Mayuri's heart. "No more do overs, no more last second escapes, no more cheating. Today, you die for all your crimes."

"I think we lost the Joker over there," Tatsuki announced after the group had taken off. It had been about fifteen minutes since Ishida's overblown distraction had allowed the three to escape. Stopping for a moment to clean himself off, Mizuro analyzed the situation.
"We've currently lost two of our party and have no discernible destination. Correct?"
"No," Chad answered. "We need to find Rukia."
"You think she knows what to do about all this?" Tatsuki asked. Between insane sword wielding clowns, sexed starved giants, and the pungent smell of sex that surrounded them, she was beginning to wonder what, if anything, she could do.
"Logically," Mizuro answered, "she's the only lead we have." Chad nodded in agreement as the trio pressed forward.
