Naruto was known to be many things. To his teammates and fellow ninjas, he was known as a hyperactive knucklehead. To the rest of the village he was known as the container for the Nine-Tailed-Demon Fox. What he didn’t want to be known as was the crazy blond who thinks people are tasty. If he told anyone about what he was feeling, he would be in a straitjacket and padded cell quicker then you can say ‘Craaaaaaazy!’

Naruto was going to handle the problem his way, by ignoring it and hoping it goes away.

“What a confusing day,” Naruto sighed as he headed to his bathroom to clean himself up. Taking his coat off he stared at himself in the mirror. Physically he looked fine, but on the inside he was being torn apart. Thoughts of sweet human flesh and how cute girls would taste ran through his mind. Subconsciously, he ran his tongue over his lips as his mind wandered to thought of Sakura, Hinata, Ten-Ten, Ino and all the other girls he knew. Before he could get lost in his troubling thoughts, Naruto slapped himself on the forehead to get his wits back.

“Get a hold of yourself Naruto,” he told himself as he started to run some water in the sink. He put his hands together under the faucet and splashed himself with a handful of cold water. Staring at his dripping face in the mirror he tried to reassure himself that everything was all right. “Stop thinking creepy things, you can’t eat girls. How can you eat girl? The sight of their blood would be nauseating. It’s not like you can swallow them whole.”

Chuckling softly, Naruto opened his mouth, showing himself that there was no way he could fit a person inside there. He couldn’t even fit his fist, much less a person. Trying to open his mouth further, Naruto stared into his own mouth, looking at the pink, slippery inside of his maw, his tongue sitting idly at the bottom his teeth gleaming around the pink interior. Naruto stared into his own mouth, about to close it as it started to ache. Then with a barely noticeable click, his lower jaw dislocated and his bottom jaw dropped to the middle of his chest.

“Whaaa!” Naruro cried as his mouth became distended. He stared with huge eyes at his almost foot wide mouth, unable to comprehend what he was seeing. His jaw had dislodged itself and now he had a mouth big enough to swallow anything. A chilling thought struck him, it was big enough to fit a person.

Terrified by his own body, Naruto focused on closing his mouth and slowly his lower jaw reattached itself and he closed his mouth with a click. Rubbing his sore jaw, Naruto tried to rationalize the irrational event in his mind, but came up with a blank. Confused, scared and just basically freaked, Naruto backed out of his bathroom before anything else happened.

“I need to get out of here. I need somewhere to think,” Naruto said to himself as he grabbed his coat and jumped on his windowsill. He still wasn’t going to tell anyone what was happening or what he was thinking, he still stubbornly thought he could deal with it himself. Looking out the window, Naruto saw the forest on the outskirts of town, a dark, empty place he could be alone to think.

He jumped from rooftop to rooftop, racing towards the forest as fast as his legs would take him. The grumbling inside his belly returned, demanding something more filling then Ramen. Ignoring the rumbling, Naruto jumped from the last rooftop and ran into the forest. He’d get lost in the thick plant life all night and in the morning he would head home hopefully sane. It didn’t take him long to get lost and once he was sure he couldn’t retrace his footsteps, he sat down on a log to rest. Resting his head in his hands, Naruto sighed with relief. He was alone and everyone was safe from his hunger madness.

Then Naruto heard a twig snap and he learned that he was not as alone as he first thought.
