With no hesistation, the trio jumped right through the hole caused by the explosion, onto the streets below. Following Kakashi's directions, Keiji and Naruto could only hope that the streets would be free from their pursuers, allowing them to escape the seemingly endless wave of hungry stalkers.
Ten steps later, that hope was completely dashed as a familiar face charged forward.
"Naruto, you cannot escape me!"
Hinata Hyugga, ever vigilant, charged forward with her spear ready to attack. Naruto's first instinct was to reach for the spare bomb that he had left over, but after remembering Kakashi's warnings, decided against it and turned in the other direction.
"Isn't there anything else for you to eat?!"
"I NEED YOU!" she yelled in response. Expecting more high pitched screams of rage, Naruto was surprised when he turned around, noticing that his stalker was out cold, with a familiar and somewhat unwelcome face standing above her fallen body.
"NEJI!?"
"You should be lucky I was out and saw my idiot cousin screaming."
"Um...thanks," Naruto replied, not sure how to react to yet another rival appearing, even if he did save the young genin from being digested.
"What's going on?" he asked, seemingly unaware of the circumstances. "Why did she attack you?"
"Long story," Keiji interrupted. "We'll explain everything when we go to Kakashi's house."
Neji nodded, following the group. No one noticed the strange twinkle in his seemingly dead white eyes as he looked on at Naruto.

"What a mess..."
The sight of the Hokage tower with a big smoking hole inside it was troublesome to all in the area. Even the Fifth Hokage herself, Tsunade, couldn't help but be worried about what had transpired.
"Madame Hokage!" began the form of an ANBU officer.
"What is it?"
"The jonin Anko is dead."
"Dead?" Tsunade replied with a puzzled expression. "She was..."
"Yes, she was caught in the explosion. According to our initial investigations of the building, a cache of explosives was taken from the basement, along with some emergency rations, but none of the files were touched."
Tsunade knew that didn't make any sense. If the intruders wanted weapons, they would have attacked the armory. More importantly, why did they enter the basement? Nothing was there anyway.
"There's something else. We found a small group of kunochi both around and inside the building, all armed with heavy spears. They were all muttering something about "needing him inside them". Much of it was gibberish.
"Where are they now?"
"We bought one of them here ma'mn," the ANBU operative replied. Motioning to two of his colleagues, they brought forth a familiar pink-haired ninja, even as she kicked and screamed against their grips.
"LET ME GO! I NEED TO FEED! I'LL GO CRAZY! PLEASE!"
"Sakura?"
