Ino Says Goodbye

Ino sighed. "Ugh, you're right. I can't leave all of this behind..."
"It's ok Ino." Sakura smiled. "I promise we'll be fine."
"I'll help you from here as best I can." Ino pledged. "I'll try to get my clan to put some pressure on the Hokage to oppose this bounty... maybe one day we'll be able to welcome you guys back."
"Hopefully." Sakura agreed. "I would like to return home one day. Wouldn't you Naruto?"
"Hell yeah! I need to become Hokage still!"
Both girls chuckled. Every single woman he knew (save two) were trying to eat him, and Naruto still planned on becoming Hokage.
"Well, I guess I'll leave you guys alone so you can get everything ready for tonight. Do you need my help escaping?"
"We'll be fine." Naruto spoke up this time. "That old pervert Jiraiya taught me a lot more than the rasengan. There's about 20 different ways I can think of just off the top of my head that Sakura and I can use to get out of Konoha without being detected."
"Really?" Ino quirked an eyebrow. "What about the detection seal?"
"Remember Danzo?" Naruto asked.
"Umm... yes?"
"Well Pervy Sage never trusted him. He taught me how to escape without setting off the seal, just in case Danzo ever made a move to capture me so he could turn me into a weapon."
"Wow, I had no idea you knew anything about stealth Naruto." Ino teased. "I assumed you would be charging the gates with a rasengan in each hand."
"Hah hah." Naruto sarcastically rolled his eyes. He decided it wouldn't be a good idea to mention that had been his first idea for escaping...
"Well... I guess this is it, eh Sakura?"
"For now at least." Sakura replied with a sad smile. "Thanks for helping me yesterday, and... thanks for everything in general Ino. I'll miss you."
"I'll miss you and that obnoxiously large forehead too Sakura." Ino grinned. She didn't want her and her best friend's final moments together to be sad.
"And I'll miss seeing your slutty pig face." Sakura shot back with a teasing grin of her own.
"Psh, you wish you had my face." Ino shot back. "But... be safe you two, ok?"
"We will be. Thanks Ino." Naruto replied.
"Be safe yourself." Sakura smiled. "We'll see each other again, I'm sure."
Ino nodded her head and exited Sakura's home. Knowing full well that she wasn't likely to see her best friend ever again.
"Well, let's get ready for tonight shall we Naruto?"
"Ok Sakura-chan."
