"Sorry for that little interruption, readers. We now return to our regularly scheduled st --" Gwenpool burped loudly in the middle of her speech. She rubbed at her middle absent-mindedly as she continued to walk in the cavern with the others. They had moved from the grand-open cavern to a much smaller cavern. The group walked for a little over two miles when they came upon a chasm in the wall. The chasm was eight feet tall and four feet wide.
"Are we there yet?" whined Gwenpool. "I'm getting tired from all this walking. I'm sure the readers are all bored of us walking"
"We're nearly there" said Jennifer.
"We must be on the other side of Sakaar at this point" mumbled Gwen.
"Sakaar isn't that small" said Movor.
"The Warbound is the group against The Grandmaster" sighed Jennifer. "did you really think we would set our HQ anywhere close to the city?"
"Makes sense" said Gwen.
The group walked into the hole in the wall which led steadily upwards until the passageway abruptly ended with a ladder. One by one the group climbed the ladder until they had returned to the surface.
The group ended up in a shallow valley. Four high hills surrounded the valley which reminded Gwen of the hills in Pennsylvania. The hills were treeless but they did have grass on them.
There were far fewer piles of junk in the valley or on the hills.
There was a settlement within the valley. The group was a little over a mile away from the settlement. The settlement had about twenty or thirty houses. A few of the houses looked like they had came from spaceships. None of the houses were taller than three stories.
In the exact center of the settlement was a circular building which looked almost exactly like the command center on the Power Rangers show. The entire roof of the building was just one big dome. The domed building looked far more older than the buildings surrounding it. The domed building would've taken up half of a city block back on Earth. The domed building had five stories.
"The Jaster Observatory" said Kamala making a grand gesture at the domed building. "headquarters of our little club"
"It's supposedly the oldest building on this planet" said Jennifer. "it's even older then the Grandmaster. Allegedly"
"I personally don't believe it" put in Movor. "The Grandmaster is as old as the universe itself"
"Jaster...?" wondered Gwenpool aloud. "sounds like the name of a character from an obscure JRPG"
The group started to walk towards the settlement. Before too long, a sign came into view:
Jaster
Population: 4,225
"Funny place to have an observatory," said Gwen. "at the bottom of the valley instead of on top of one of these hills"
"That's exactly what we thought when we found this place" said Jennifer. "apparently, the observatory was built by someone who wanted to hide this place from prying eyes and building it on top of a hill would've stuck out like a sore thumb"
"I can see that" said Gwenpool.
The settlement of Jaster only had two roads. Although calling them "roads" was being charitable: they were more like wide sidewalks more than anything. The two roads crossed each other more or less in the center of the settlement. One of the roads led right up to the observatory while the other led to what amounted to a market place. There were eight shops and one restaurant. The market place was fairly busy. None of the citizens were human although they were humanoid in appearance.
Jennifer had paused when she glanced down at the street of shops.
"What's up, Jen?" asked Kamala.
"There's a new shop in town" said Jennifer, pointing at the shop in question. The shop looked like the other shops. The new shop had "Expanded Horizons" on a sign above the shop. While the other shops were little more than stalls, Expanded Horizons was a real building with two stories.
"Expanded Horizons...." mumbled Gwen.
"What is it, Gwen?" asked Movor.
"I thought I saw a shop with that name back in Sakaar" replied Gwen.
"Now that you mention it," said Jennifer. "that name does sound familiar"
Jennifer shook her head to clear it and continued to walk to the observatory. The others soon followed.
"Reality!" yelled Gwenpool suddenly slapping herself in the forehead.
"Wha?" asked Jennifer.
"That's the one infinity gem I forgot to name a few chapters back" said Gwenpool. "total brain fart there. I named the power one twice like an idiot. I mean it was right there!"
The group was within two or three feet from the main door of the observatory when a young woman walked through the closed door. Seeing someone walking through solid matter would normally freak people out but not here in this instance.
The woman who walked through the door passed the group at a quick pace without even glancing at any of them. Only Kamala looked back to see where the woman was going. She was heading towards Expanded Horizons the new shop in town.
"Did Kitty have bigger breasts or is it just me?" asked Kamala.
Before Jennifer could answer, the door to the observatory opened and out walked a man with a blue face. At first glance Gwen thought the blue was painted on but it didn't take long for her to realize that it was the color of the man's skin. Unlike the woman who had walked through the closed door, the man greeted the group.
"I see you made new friends, Jen" said the man in a pronounced German accent.
"Hey, Kurt" said Kamala. "what's with Kitty?"
"It was just an innocent accident" said Kurt. "we were doing some training in the--" here, Kurt noticed Gwen. "ah, what do we have here? If it isn't the champion of the arena. I am enchanted to meet you, Fräulein Stacy. I've heard a lot about you on the radio from...er, who was it again? Jonathan?"
Gwen sighed. "Jameson"
"Ah, that was it" said Kurt.
"You did something to Kitty?" asked Jennifer to Kurt.
"All I did was stumbled into her and grabbed her breasts" said Kurt. "total accident. If you'll excuse me I'll go and apologize"
Kurt walked off in search for Kitty.
"I see you have some of the X-Men here" said Gwenpool.
"Four of them are here" said Kamala. "Kurt, Kitty, Marie and Raven"
"Not a bad selection" said Gwenpool nodding with approval.
The group all entered the observatory. The observatory was a network of hallways and rooms. There were people who lived at the observatory; in fact, most of the population of Jaster lived at the observatory.
The observatory had four stories and the top floor was reserved for The Warbound who was the de facto law enforcement of Jaster such as it was.
Jennifer took Gwen and Gwenpool up to the fourth floor while Kamala and Movor were busy dishing out orders to the citizens of the observatory. Gwen soon met each and every member of the Warbound and, promptly, forgot half of their names.

"Is our little experiment ready yet?"
"Nearly. It needs another week at most"
"Will it work? Punching holes into other dimensions doesn't sound easy"
"It's not I can assure you. I've been working on it for almost three years. Being on this mudball of a planet certainly has greatly speeded up the process. By this time next week you'll have new combatants from other dimensions for your games"
"Very well. If you'll excuse me, I have an arena to look after"
