Xacandar continued to caress the mountainous stomach of Gwenom. Gwenom sighed in content. Silence hung in the air until Xacandar stopped caressing Gwenom's stomach which made the teenager look at him.
"Don't you think we should look for whatever Tivan lost?" asked Xacandar.
"I wouldn't even know where to start looking," said Gwen. "It could be anywhere on this junkyard of a planet. Unless you have some sort of object locator hidden away somewhere "
Xacandar looked around to make sure the room wasn't bugged. There were no cameras or speakers in evidence. Then, Xacandar said in a quiet voice; "I might know a guy who knows a guy"
"Who doesn't?" asked Gwen. "I knew all sorts of people like that back on Earth"
"I heard about this guy that keeps track of new junk that ends up here" pressed Xacandar. "calls himself the Recorder"
Gwen snorted.
"Yeah, yeah" said Xacandar. "A not very imaginative name, I know. But if you found whatever Tivan lost you might just earn a ticket out of here"
"A very tempting offer" said Venom suddenly growing to cover Gwen's head. "you wouldn't happen to know who to contact do you?"
"I know someone named...Solomon" said Xacandar. Then he frowned, and added, "Or is it Sullivan? It's actually been a while"
"Sullivan Manchester?" asked Venom.
"I don't really know his last name now that I think about it" said Xacandar. "who's Sullivan Manchester?"
"Scumbag back on Earth" replied Venom. "he extorted people. We tried to track him down but he gave us the slip and then he just vanished out of the blue. That Jameson said that we were working for him. We wanted to eat Jameson but Gwen told us no"
"Who's Jameson?" asked Xacandar tilting his head.
Venom retreated back to uncover Gwen's head.
"Damn it, Venom. Ask for permission first before you barge in" said Gwen. "we're supposed to be a team here"

Gwen burped loudly. Unfortunately, Gwen's mouth was pointing directly at Xacandar and so the ferret-like alien had to endure Gwen's breath that stank.
"Speaking of eating," said Xacandar after he waved his paw to clear the air. "why do you keep eating people? I didn't realize you humans went into cannibalism"

"I eat people because Venom needs too" said Gwen.

"Eh?" asked Xacandar.

"Venom requires a few nutrients he can't get any other way" said Gwen. "most of the nutrients Venom needs are in the bodies of other species. If I don't eat people, Venom would begin to feed on me"

"Even though you're his host?" asked Xacandar.

"He goes into a frenzy when he's very hungry" said Gwen. "actually it's kinda scary"

"You told me you were a hero back on your planet" said Xacandar. "eating people doesn't sound like something a hero would do"

"We would've worked something out" said Gwen.

"Why don't you just get rid of Venom?" asked Xacandar.

"To keep him away from criminal types," said Gwen. "I once visited a friend of mine in a different dimension that was battling some version of Venom called. Carnage. Carnage was paired with a serial killer"

Xacandar stood up. "Other dimension?"

Gwen nodded and held up a hand. The part of Venom briefly separated to reveal what looked to be an ordinary watch.

"This watch allows me to travel to other dimensions" said Gwen. "If I use this watch here, I'd end up in an alternate version of Sakaar...that is assuming if that dimension has a planet named Sakaar.
I've been exploring other dimensions ever since I got this watch a while back. As it happens, this isn't the only time I've eaten people"

"Come again?" asked Xacandar.

"I traveled to a dimension that was in the midst of a zombie apocalypse almost three years ago," said Gwen. "I jumped into that particular dimension on a street filled with zombies and would-be victims. I wasn't even in the dimension for two minutes and then I decided to leave before a zombie got me. Unfortunately I wasn't fast enough to reactivate my watch to open a portal back to my home dimension. I was bitten by a zombie before I knew it"

Xacandar gave Gwen a look. "I guess you got better"

"Eventually, yeah" said Gwen. "and I wasn't a mindless zombie, either. I kept my mind"

"Never heard of an intelligent zombie" said Xacandar thoughtfully.

"It was definitely unlike any other zombie apocalypse I've ever heard of" said Gwen. "it supposedly started when it was discovered that something had killed Galactus in that dimension. His dead body crashed down on Earth. His rotting flesh released some sort of zombie virus that effected nearly everyone on Earth.
To make a long story short, I was a zombie for two years before stumbling into a dimension that had a cure for the zombie virus"

"It sounds like that would be a much better and interesting story" said Xacandar in a quiet voice.

"What was that?" asked Gwen.

"Nothing" replied Xacandar shaking his head as if to clear it. "So, why not we use that watch of yours to get away from here?"

Gwen gave out a hollow laugh. "And run the risk of going to an even worse version of Sakaar?"

"You do have a point I suppose" replied Xacandar. "okay, then how about telling me about the dimensions you visited"

"As long as it doesn't involve me moving from this spot" said Gwen after a short pause. "can't move that well with this huge gut of mine"

Gwen then had a brief coughing fit in which she spat out several small bones and bits of clothing.

"Some dimensions have interesting effects on me," said Gwen. "I might be tiny in one dimension or I just might be a giant in another. Three weeks ago I even discovered a dimension where a version of me is a cosmic being"

"Whoa, really?" asked Xacandar surprise in his voice. "must be spooky meeting another version of you"

"It can get trippy" agreed Gwen.

For the next hour, Gwen regaled her so-called manager with stories of her life on Earth. Gwen had been Spider Woman for almost 5 years going up against villains of almost every sort, some of which were former friends and frienemies. Gwen hadn't taken part in a fight for all of existence or anything that epic.
Gwen certainly had fans and critics alike with the most outspoken critic of them all, J. Jonah Jameson who had insisted on calling Gwen a menace from pretty much day one. The only positive thing that Jameson would say about Gwen was how good she looked in that costume...which probably meant that Jameson liked to look at Gwen's shapely ass which was all kinds of icky and just wrong.
