“What happened to the exit?!”
“It isn’t here!”
“But that doesn’t make any sense! It was definitely here when we came in here!”
“How do we get out then?”
“The windows! We need to break the windows to get out”
“Are you serious?”
“You wanna get eaten by—”
“Will you all just calm down?” asked Felicia. As soon as she uttered her question, Felicia noticed that a gem on the infinity gauntlet started to glow. It was the mind gem that had glowed. Almost immediately the people that were in full panic mode visually calmed down. Felicia took her eyes off of everyone standing there towards the infinity gauntlet. Was the gauntlet responding to her subconscious or what? Felicia hadn’t meant to activate the mind gem at all but it had activated on its own accord. Perhaps she needed more time to adjust to the power she now wielded. Perhaps she needed more time to learn just how to use the gauntlet just the way she wanted. After the learning process the world would be hers. No. The universe would be hers! Felicia had a dreamy expression on her face when she imagined the whole universe at her feet. It would be glorious. It would be grand.
Felicia snapped out of her retrieve when someone asked a question. The question came from a fair-haired young man that had a strong English accent. The man was unremarkable that had average looks, average height and probably weighed maybe 200 pounds soaking wet. The man was wearing a rather ugly brown vest over an equally ugly shirt. The man was just average and wouldn’t have garnered much attention from Felicia until now.
“Pardon me, young lady, but just who the hell are you?”
Felicia took a moment to answer the question. As she gave serious thought to the question Felicia took several big bites from the tray of rigatoni. As Felicia chewed on her food some of the patrons returned to their seats. The people were hesitant to go back to their seats as if they were afraid what Felicia would do to them, if anything. Felicia allowed the patrons to go back to where they had been sitting. The only person to not return to their seat was the British guy who had asked the question.
“That’s a rather fascinating question there, “ said Felicia thoughtfully. “up until a hour ago I would say that I was your average human being with extraordinary luck; things tended to go my way even before I got this gauntlet.
But, now? I suppose I’m your god now. No, really. See these pretty little gems on this gauntlet? These gems aren’t just jewelry. Each gem allows me to control an aspect of creation, “ here, Felicia named each of the gems as she pointed them out, “Soul, time, space, mind, reality, and power. With all six gems I’m invincible as well as omnipotent. I’d say that’s the very definition of a god wouldn’t you say?”
“There’s only one god,” said a man with dark red hair. “and, I can assure you, that you aren’t a god”
Felicia gave the man who had spoken a dark smile before she spoke, “Allow me to show just what I’m capable of”
The next thing that happened was that Felicia seemed to speed up to impossible speeds. She ate at the buffet table at a rate that was shocking. It appeared that Felicia was moving at supersonic speeds as she went around the buffet table eating all the food. It took Felicia a little less than five minutes to finish all of the food on the three long buffet tables.
Felicia had stopped moving and was now standing in the middle of the restaurant. Felicia’s stomach was round and bloated. The outfit that Felicia wore showed considerable strain as it contained the enlarged stomach of Felicia Hardy. All of the people in the restaurant gasped at what they had just witnessed.
“That wasn’t a bad appetizer “ said Felicia as she massaged her bloated middle.
“That was just an appetizer?! “ called a lady sitting by herself.
“Well, yes” said Felicia. There was a pause and then Felicia let loose a loud belch that absolutely filled the restaurant. It didn’t sound remotely human.
“How much do you plan on eating?” asked a teenager girl.
“Not as much as I am going to eat now “ said Felicia. She paused, and added ; “Don’t move, any of you. I’m in no mood in hunting down my food “
The patrons of the restaurant all found that they couldn’t move. All of them were obeying the last order by Felicia and her words were gospel at this point.
***
It had been around midnight when Felicia had gotten her hands on the infinity gauntlet. By the time Felicia had stashed away Peter inside her vagina it was 12:30 at night. Much too late for any restaurant to be open. Felicia had eaten all the food in the house. But it wasn’t enough. Felicia wanted a feast to celebrate her ascension into godhood. Felicia wanted to be served food so she used the infinity gauntlet to turn back time.
Felicia was able to turn back time to seven hours with her still retaining the almighty gauntlet. Seven hours previously, Peter and MJ were in bed together. The sight made Felicia chuckle and she had teleported herself to the restaurant. The restaurant was practically on the opposite side of New York City from MJ and Peter’s house.
Turning back the clock to seven hours was the absolute maximum that Felicia was capable of for the moment. Felicia knew that she could’ve turned back time all the way back to the big bang but she just couldn’t right now. This just left Felicia to assume that she simply hadn’t fully adjusted to the immense power she now wielded. It wouldn’t take 48 hours for Felicia to fully adjust to her powers.
**
Ever since Kevin the waiter had went back into the kitchen things were definitely off. Time itself was acting weird. The time to cook food, for instance, took a lot less time than it should’ve. Everyone was moving faster in the kitchen; they didn’t move at supersonic speed but much faster than what was normal.
Another weird thing was happening and this particular thing was even more alarming than the time going all wonky. The people in the kitchen weren’t alarmed in the slightest that time wasn’t behaving normally at all. They all knew they should’ve been alarmed but they just weren’t. It seemed that the only thing they could feel was a sense of calm when the moment called for the direct opposite response. Kevin probably knew who was likely the cause of both the calmness that everybody felt and that time wasn’t behaving normally. It was no doubt Felicia’s fault. It was that shiny gauntlet of hers that was making all this possible.
The kitchen had an exit to the back of the restaurant but, like the entrance, it just wasn’t there anymore. And the people were essentially stuck in the kitchen. Wherever people tried to walk back into the dining area they found themselves walking back into the kitchen.
Due to the time behaving differently than normal it only took ten minutes to cook all the food in the kitchen. All the food was stacked on four carts only meant for large groups. When the food was all ready to go, the people were allowed to leave the kitchen. Kevin and three other waiters wheeled out the carts out of the kitchen.
The dinning area was devoid of people. There had been around eighty people (not counting Felicia) when Kevin was earlier. The restaurant could’ve held around 230 comfortably. The four waiters looked slowly around the room. A moment later, they all heard an amused voice.
“Over here, boys”
The waiters turned to look at the far side of the room. Felicia sat there and she was the very definition of pear-shaped; her stomach was gigantic and round while her head looked far too small for her new body. Felicia’s stomach was taller and wider than all the waiters combined. Kevin didn’t even hesitate in walking towards Felicia. The other waiters quickly followed.
"You have room for all of this?" asked Kevin.
"Oh, yes" said Felicia.
Felicia certainly wasn't lying about that. She grabbed great handfuls of food and shoveled it into her mouth. Kevin simply stared. Kevin didn't even notice that Felicia ate the three other waiters when they tried to get away. It was as if Kevin was in a trance.
"You're the only waiter that didn't even try to leave" said Felicia when she had finished the first cart of food.
"Huh?" asked Kevin suddenly noticing that he was the only waiter there.
"You were in a trance there" laughed Felicia. "it looked like you were mesmerized by my belly"
"Yeah, well...." said Kevin. "I have.....a fetish"
Felicia said nothing but smiled at Kevin.
