“Actually that’s kinda scary… even if a fly landed here it’d be like a monster to me!”

“Okay fraidy cat, you can come with… but you’re not gonna rat me out right?”

“That wasn’t me!”

Marissa laughed as she reached down and grasped you with her thumb and index finger, easily covering most of your body. She made her way outside and sat on a bench just under the awning of the building.

“I should’ve worn my jacket!” She exclaimed, using the hand that wasn’t holding you to fish out a pack of cigarettes from her pants pocket. She sat you on the bench between her legs and proceeded to light a cigarette, placing the pack back into her pocket.

You looked up at her in awe. She was a sight to behold, and her size was on full display at this angle. She exhaled slowly into the air and then looked down at you quizzically.

“Enjoy the view?” she asked.

“Oh, I, uh…”

Marissa laughed. “It’s okay, I can only imagine how crazy this is for you. I can’t believe you agreed to do it.”

“About that…”

“Oh?” Marissa said.

“I didn’t agree to anything. I met Jen, she gave me candy, apparently the candy shrunk me, and June bought me. It happened quick and I’m honestly shocked I’m taking it as well as I am.”

Marissa seemed shocked by what you were saying.

“That’s… that’s not right. I have to say something to June.”

“No, don’t! I think a smarter plan would be if you could help me find Jen!”

Marissa took a drag of her cigarette, you could tell she was thinking. As she started to talk smoke poured out of her mouth.

“I can help you. I will help you. But I’m not sure how much time I’ll get with you. Everyone is working on a different facet of the case. So I’m sure your time will be spent amongst everyone. I’m not sure if June’s plan is to leave you here at night or take you with her. I guess some of this will have to be played by ear.”

Marissa took a final drag from her cigarette and flicked it into the air. She looked down at you as she exhaled.

“Reminds me catching you watching me smoke on your deck through the sliding glass door,” she giggled.

“Um… yeah…”

“Awe, you’re blushing. Well c’mon, we’d best get back inside.”
