Kayla returned from school
Tiny Terry

The Reaper
The afternoon stretched on with an agonizing slowness that made the house feel cavernous. Terry spent the hours pacing the perimeter of his bedside table, his tiny heart drumming a nervous rhythm against his ribs. He tried to distract himself with a crumb of a cookie he'd found, but his mind kept drifting back to the report. He remembered the way Kayla had looked at him—that mix of genuine pride and predatory amusement. Despite the trauma of being processed through her digestive system, he felt a strange, lingering tension. Kayla was many things—bratty, vain, and cruel—but she was obsessed with her image and her grades. The idea of her failing or getting into trouble with Mr. Henderson felt like a shift in the natural order of things.
As the clock ticked toward the usual time for her return, the silence of the house became oppressive. Terry found himself wondering if the teacher had found her descriptions *too* visceral, or if the "biological data" had been flagged as something suspicious. Just as he was beginning to imagine the fallout of a phone call from the school, the front door downstairs didn't just open; it exploded. The sound of the heavy door hitting the wall echoed through the floorboards, followed by the thunderous, frantic drumming of platform boots sprinting toward the stairs. Terry scrambled backward, nearly tripping over his own feet as the vibrations intensified, shaking his miniature bed and rattling the lamp.
The bedroom door flew open with a violent crash that sounded like a cannon blast to Terry's sensitive ears. Kayla burst into the room, her black hair disheveled and her mascara slightly smudged, but her face was illuminated by a look of absolute, manic triumph. She didn't even look at him at first, instead slamming her school bag onto the floor with a heavy thud that made the entire room shudder. She was breathing hard, her chest heaving under her black lace top, and she looked like she had just won a war.
"A PLUS! AN ACTUAL A PLUS!" she screamed, the volume of her voice hitting Terry like a physical shockwave that nearly knocked him off his feet. She lunged forward, her massive form blotting out the light as she hovered over him, her eyes glittering with a mixture of ego and adrenaline. She reached into her folder and whipped out the paper, waving it triumphantly in the air. "He loved it! He said the level of anatomical detail was 'unprecedented' and ' disturbingly accurate'! He's never seen a student provide such a comprehensive view of the esophageal contractions!" She let out a loud, jagged laugh, her gaze locking onto Terry with a look that told him the "experiment" had been far too successful for his own good.
Kayla reached down, her movements swift and certain as she scooped Terry up from his bed. The sudden ascent was dizzying, the world blurring into a whirlwind of beige walls and floral wallpaper until he was held level with her face. Up close, her eyes were like two shimmering dark pools, framed by thick, jagged wings of eyeliner that made her look more like a predatory bird than a sister. She didn't let him go; instead, she shifted her grip, pulling him closer until his tiny chest was nearly pressed against the tip of her nose. The warmth radiating from her skin was intense, and the scent of her heavy, clove-scented perfume filled his lungs, making his head swim.
She leaned in, her lips parting as she whispered, her voice a low, resonant rumble that vibrated through his entire skeletal structure. "You actually did it, you little worm. You provided the perfect data," she murmured, a slow, wicked smile curling the corners of her mouth. "And since you were such a brave little probe—even with all that pathetic screaming—I've decided you deserve a reward. Something to make up for all that... *sloshing* around in the dark." She didn't specify what the reward was, but the predatory glint in her eyes suggested that Terry should be more worried than excited.
Without another word, she turned and began walking toward her own room, her stride long and confident. Terry felt every step like a minor earthquake, the rhythmic sway of her hand tossing him gently from side to side. As she entered her sanctuary—a dim, moody cavern of black curtains, incense, and scattered gothic posters—she kicked the door shut with a loud *thud*. The click of the lock echoed through the room, sealing them inside. Kayla walked over to her oversized bed and sat down with a heavy sigh, her gaze fixed on the shivering boy in her palm. She looked at him with a mixture of affection and dominance, the kind of look a child gives a favorite toy right before deciding how to play with it.
