The realization was too much for the poor Kaiju giantess to handle. For years Diana believed that her condition was her own fault, that if she'd been born different then she wouldn't have had to suffer the way she had, that her parents wouldn't have had to suffer along with her.
Oh how wrong she was. How foolish she was. Her situation wasn't her own fault at all. It was her father's and yet he and her mother chosen to sweep that little tidbit of information under the rug for her own good. Her own good! She wanted to laugh at the thought.
This was her life! She had a right to know why she was the way she was. For years people had called her a freak, a monster, a damn blight on humanity! She'd been bullied, harassed, spurned, burned, and even denied. She was the ultimate target of hate and ridicule.
This revelation had caused something in the poor girl to snap. Years of secrets had caused something vile and ugly to form in the pit of her stomach. Something she'd felt so many times in the past but kept locked up deep inside... Anger.
She was angry. And not at herself for once. No, her anger for the first time had a clear cut target... her parents. The ones who lied to her. The ones who let her suffer in ignorance. The very same people she was supposed to be able to trust implicitly.
Her heartrate began to increase and she could swear her blood pressure was rising by the second. Slowly she began to stand up and all she could see was red. She must've been scowling because her parents began to back away ever so slowly. Were they afraid? Of her?
Her shadow consumed them ominously like the scene of a horror movie as she inched ever so closer. They must be scared. Good! They should be! She was beyond furious!
"D-Diana?" her father began as her mother cowered behind her.
