The rest of Zang Xiu's long journey home was mostly uneventful. Sure, she could've just used her vast mystical abilities to transport herself back the rest of the way in microseconds, but where was the fun in that. She wanted to break her new playthings in and what better way to do that then by making the long trek back to her estate.
The Zang family home like something out of a fairy tale. It was a tall three-story structure with a basement area that sat on a large plot of land that she had all to herself. The grass was neatly cut and there was a stone path that led from the house itself all the way to the front gates. "There's no place like home."
The woman in black smiled as she reached the front door and phased her body right through it. She didn't really feel like going through the arduous process of unlocking and instead opted to just go right through it. She was much more interested in settling in and playing with her brand-new toys.
Once inside she stretched her arms above her head and let out a groan of sweet relief. Zang Xiu snapped her fingers and in an instant the entire house was alight as switched flipped themselves on. "Much better."
She then looked down at her feet and decided it was time to let the two little men breathe. She lifted her right foot free first where Xiao-Long Chao was being held captive and found the half inch man lying spread eagle on top of the toe section. Seeing his pathetic little form made her giggle.
Next was the left foot where here wannabe assailant was placed. The giantess lifted her foot out of her heel and was somewhat surprised to not find the little man on the arch where she placed him. It was then she felt a small tickle on the bottom of her foot.
Zang Xiu turned her foot over to see that the mugger was stuck to her soul like an old gum wrapper. Again, she giggled at the sight of the man who thought himself a predator but in actuality was her prey. He just couldn't catch a break, could he?
She was about to peel him off before a much cleverer idea to free him from the underside of her foot came to mind. A wicked smirk wormed its way onto her face as she stared into the dark hardwood floor, before casually wiping her foot against it.
That seemed to do the trick to as the mugger was now face down on the floor, still alive and somewhat well, the same as Chao. Speaking of, she plucked the little shop owner from her footwear and placed him in her palm before also retrieving the mugger. She had plans for these two and she was excited to whip them all out.
"Welcome home you two, hope you enjoy your stay at the Zang estate." She teased as she walked into the living room. She carelessly dropped the two on the coffee table in the center of the room before setting her sights on the kitchen. "You two stay put and don't try anything while I'm gone. Do that and I might just have a nice reward lined up for you."
With that said, she left the pair of shrunken men to their own devices. Xiao-Long Chao was the first to recover and although he was somehow still alive, his whole body ached like when he tried CrossFit for the very first time. He then noticed the downed man to his side and crawled his way over with worry clear on his face. "Hey! You alright there?"
He shook the man's shoulder and was rewarded with a groan of pain. The mugger forced himself to his knees as the pain from being used as an insole still lingered. He turned to see another man in the same boat as him and was more confused than anything. The sow had shrunken and kidnapped someone other than himself? "Who are you and where the hell are we?"
Chao was started for a moment but answered all the same. "My name is Xiao-Long Chao. I own a video store in Hong Kong. As for where we are, I think it's same to assume we're in Zang Xiu's home?"
"Zang Xiu? You know that witch?" The mugger asked.
"Not exactly." Chao tried to elaborate. "She walked into my store and shrunk me because she thought I tricked her with false advertising."
The mugger raised an eyebrow. That sounded completely ridiculous. "Really?"
Chao nodded. "And all because I said my selection was endless. It's just a slogan."
The mugger couldn't help but chucked. This whole situation was nuts.
"So, how'd you end up here?" Chao finally asked after having vented to someone.
"Name's Shang Lao, and she shrunk me after I tried to mug her." The now identified man confessed. Xiao-Long Chao's eyes widened having not expected such a confession and eyed the man in question with complete and utter disapproval. Shang Lao wasn't fazed however as he'd seen that look more than enough times to become immune. "We need to get the hell out of here."
Chao put whatever negative thoughts he had about Shang on the backburner for now and tried to focus on his words. "I agree, but where would go at our size? We don't even know how small we are and I'm pretty sure anything and everything can kill us."
Shang rolled his eyes. "If we can survive under her feet then I'm pretty sure we can survive almost anything. We need to get out now while she's distracted in the kitchen."
Xiao-Long Chao knew his fellow captive had a point but realistically there wasn't much they could do against the skyscraper of a woman who seemed to be able to warp reality somehow. They needed to escape but maybe waiting and biding their time was the best course of action. Zang did say she would reward them if they stayed put, didn't she? But then again, could he really trust her words?
"Hey!" Shang snapped, startling the shop owner. "I'm making a break for it. You coming or not?"
