Sakurai's Genius Plan Girlzilla: Giantess Monsters 2.0 chapter 11 by copier · original author: penslayer5

Tanaka could feel his phone vibrate as he downed his bottle of whisky. Putting down the mug he checked who was calling, only to find that it was superior Sakurai on the other end. With a sigh he tapped his screen and placed the device to his ear. "This General Tanaka speaking."

"Ah, Tanaka my boy, it's good to hear your voice." Sakurai spoke. Even though Tanaka couldn't see him from the tone of his voice he could picture the middle-aged man smiling. "I just calling to keep you in the loop about a new addition to the plan."

New addition? What did that mean? He needed to know more. "What new addition are you talking about, Sir?"

"I was just getting to that. Once the process is complete and Atsuki finally joins the Kaiju ranks, I was thinking about bringing in Haruka to help her adjust."

If Sakurai had been in the bar with Tanaka, he would've seen the man's face screw up as if someone had slipped something extra sour in his drink. "With all due respect, that's a horrible idea, Sir."

"How so?" Sakurai asked though regardless of what the general said he was still going press forward with this course of action.

"For one thing, Haruka has no credentials teaching. Just because someone is skilled at something doesn't mean they can educate someone else. Also bear in mind by having Atsuki train with Haruka you're inspiring loyalty to her and not the military." He explained.

Sakurai thought over Tanaka points and while he made some good ones his mind was already set. "You make a fine argument as always Tanaka, however the decision has already been made. Sometimes in order to get what we want we have to be willing to take risks."

"Even if it means the end of all life as we know it." The general scowled.

"Don't be so dramatic." Sakurai waved off. "I promise you, this is the best way forward and in the end we'll all get what we deserve."

Tanaka didn't believe him. He couldn't. His heart wouldn't let him. "I understand, Sir. Will I still be permitted to run tests and try to create countermeasures?"

"Of course. In the meantime, I have other things to attend to. I'll talk to you tomorrow."

With his peace said the line disconnected. Tanaka resisted the urge to slam his phone at the news his superior dropped at his feet. It would seem his boss had a very advanced case of Kaiju syndrome. "Fools! All of them! Damn fools!"

The general's souring mood didn't go unnoticed by the barista who appeared before him with a fresh of scotch, bottle and all.

"It's sounds to me like you'll need this." She smiled. "And don't worry, this one's on the house... general."

She placed the tray down before Tanaka could even thank her and walked away to attend to other customers. Yes, he did in fact like the bar. It was the only place in Japan where he could have a moment's peace.
