The raging storm outside of the B.L.A.C.K facility seemed to grow stronger with each passing second, as if somehow feeding off of the girl's pain. Rei screamed and screamed her deafening scream until her voice had gone horse, and even she found the strength deep down inside to scream some more.
Tanaka tightened his fists as he stood there and listened to the sound of the pained child. A part of him knew this was wrong and it was killing him inside to stand idly by as another human being suffered, but his duty and dedication to his country ensured her would remain rooted in place.
Havoc didn't much care how much pain Rei endured so long as she endured it. In his mind the end would justify the means and he along with his allies would write a new chapter in human history. This was cruel, some might even say evil, but it was what needed to be done to ensure his future was absolute.
Sakurai simply smirked as he knew deep within his very soul that Rei would not disappoint him. Everything that had happened to this poor girl up until now had merely been preparation for this exact moment. The moment where the weakness within her died completely and she was reborn anew.
Rei's vocal cords meanwhile had finally given out and her vision had become little more than a blurry mess of fuzzy colors. It hurt... everything hurt. She didn't know it was possible for another living creature to hurt so bad. How had she not passed out yet from all this pain?
The reason was simple, it wasn't her time. She had a job to do, and she wasn't allowed to exit this life of hers until she saw her mission through to the end. She could feel it now, something powerful brewing in her stomach like a witch's cauldron. What was this bizarre feeling?
She couldn't tell immediately, but her transformation had truly begun in earnest. Her whole body was growing and changing in a way that normal humans were never meant to experience naturally. She was rapidly becoming something more. Something greater.
"A goddess..." Sakurai whispered.
Instinctively everyone in the room began to take a step back. The girl inside the orange pool of liquid space rock was beginning to expand.
"Amazing..." the scientist breathed.
Tanaka and Havoc remained silent as they took the sight in. The storm outside grew more violent. Lightning struck the the earth down below, setting one of the many trees on the island ablaze.
The storm had become so powerful in fact that the thunder that was booming could be heard within the walls of the facility. Lights began to flicker on and off and in those brief moments of darkness the only source of light was the electricity coming from the pool.
"This won't affect the experiment, will it?" Havoc asked the scientist.
"Not at all." he answered. "The backup generators are on standby."
A large crunch sound could be heard as the four men continued their observation. Rei's arm had smashed the concrete on the side of the pool. Electrically charged orange liquid was starting to spill out.
Fearful of his own safety the scientist ordered his men to begin draining the pool. Slowly the liquid started to disappear down the drain, but the girl continued to expand.
"How big will she become?" Tanaka now inquired.
"Does it really matter?" Sakurai chimed in. "My girl is going to become--"
The man's words were halted by an earth-shattering boom coming from the lab that sent everyone present down to the floor. The electric flow had stopped and the many lightbulbs in the area began to explode.
"What the hell!?" Havoc cursed as he covered his head.
"What is happening!?" Tanaka shouted.
"We've overtaxed the main generator. It must've blown!" the scientist explained. Fear gripped his heart as he knew that the main generator wouldn't be an easy fix. Add to that it was expensive. Very expensive. More than he and ten of his men could make in a year.
A hadn't noticed yet but a dark shadow had fallen over him. In all the excitement he failed to notice Rei hadn't quite finished her expansion. A hand larger than his entire form loomed dangerously above him and by the time the lone eye of Tanaka caught it, it was already too late.
"Look out!" he shouted desperately.
The scientist looked up and what he saw made his eyes bulge wide. The enlarged limb fell, and his life flashed before his eyes. Overall, it had been a good life, he just wished he could have done more.
A loud slam filled the room as the scientist vanished beneath Rei's palm, flattened into paste. It was then a loud siren went off and the chaos settled. The pool was now completely drained and the storm outside had settled. The sun began to peak through the darkness and multiple men and women with lab coats began to file into the room.
The chief scientist was now dead, flattened into a pancake but there was no time to dwell on that now. Sakurai and the others were helped to their feet as the scientist began to observe the giant. Her growth had stopped, and she was still breathing, however she was out cold.
"We did it." the female scantest whispered. "We actually pulled this off."
Sakura smiled happily while everyone present whispered aloud. They had done it. Rei had become a giantess like that damned brat back home. He needed to see to it that she was cared for and properly trained for the next phase of his plans. For now, though that could wait. He had questions to ask the female scientist who served as the second-in-command.
Oh... and he had to remember to call in the janitor.
