The Process Pt.1 Girlzilla: Giantess Monsters 2.0 chapter 20 by copier · original author: penslayer5

Rei was sitting anxiously in her room as she waited to hear the verdict on her test results. She was dressed in a simple hospital gown and her hair was a bit of a mess, a physical sign of just how nervous she was.

What if her test results came back negative? She couldn't bear the thought of disappointing the man who had taken her in and given her a once in a lifetime opportunity to become a part of something bigger than herself.

The look of sadness on his face combined with the judgmental stares she would no doubt receive from the two generals made her heart beat that much faster. She couldn't fail here. Her genes just had to be strong enough... they just had to.

The only sound that she could hear now was the ticking of the clock on the wall. Each and every movement the hands made only made her feel more on edge.

TICK

TOCK

TICK

TOCK

Instinctively Rei tried to block out the noise with her hands but the action itself was in vain. She could still hear it/ It was as if the ticking was coming from inside her brain.

She wanted to the damn clock to just shut up. She was about to get up and rip from the wall before a new sound reach her ears. One more frightening than she could have ever imagined.

Someone was knocking on her door.

Rei could've sworn her heart stopped in that moment. This was it, wasn't it? She had failed and now she was going to be taken away. They were all going to give her that look she so dreaded and dump her back at the orphanage.

Her chest tightened and she could see the silver doorknob begin to turn. Slowly the door creaked as it opened and the light of the hall begin to flood into the room.

On the other side was her father, the one who had taken her in when she had nothing. She had expected the worst, but it never came. The eyes of disappointment and angry scowl were nowhere to be found. Instead all she could see was a bright and warm smile.

"Good morning, Rei." he greeted, taking her completely off guard.

"G-Good morning father." she then noticed the papers in his hand as he stood in the doorway. "Are those...?"

She let the question linger.

The man never lost his smile. He could tell she was nervous but didn't call her out on it. "Yes they are, and I have good news. You passed! Isn't that wonderful?"

Wonderful?

Sakurai soon found his waist being enveloped by a tight hug from his daughter who cleared the distance between them in no time at all. Honestly, he was impressed.

"That's great news." she spoke into his stomach. Her speech was muffled but he understood her all the same. Her gently rubbed the top of her skull and put her fears at ease.

"I told you everything would be fine. Now that you've passed the test we can begin the process today. Tell me, Rei, are you ready to become something greater?"

She released the man. "Yes father. I'm ready."

"Good."
______

Rei slowly descended down into the depths of the B.L.A.C.K facility with her father and the two generals flanking them. Tanaka was as stoic as ever and Havoc seemed to have a little difficulty standing still. Maybe he was just as anxious as she was earlier.

She wouldn't have the chance to ask him anyway as the elevator doors slid open to reveal a large white space filled to the brim with men in masks and lab coats. All around them computers and science equipment. Never before had she seen so many beakers and test tubes.

The thing that caught her attention the most however was the giant slab of rock that was situated in the center of the room, protected by what Tanaka described as bullet proof glass.

"Is that really...?"

"Yes, it is." Havoc confirmed. "This is but a fragment of the meteorite that created Haruka."

Fragment? The slab of rock she was looking at was as big as a house! That meant the meteorite that Haruka came into to contact with was even bigger than this! Just how big was that rock when it was whole!?

All four exited the elevator and strode into the lab with more than a few people saluting their way. "Amazing, isn't it?"

"Yeah." Rei answered the general. "So, this rock is going to make me like her?"

"No." Sakurai answered. "You're going to be better than her in every single way."

"Let's get a move on," Tanaka finally spoke up. "The sooner we get this over with the better."

"Is Leumya on standby?" Sakurai asked.

Tanaka nodded. "Of course."

Sakurai smirked. "Then it's time for all of us to make history."
