As the saying goes: Pride cometh before the fall. In this case it was Sakurai and Junko's belief that they had absolute control over everything in this situation. When in truth they did not.

Answer me this: how likely is it that humanity is able to fully understand the complete complexity and minutiae of a meteorite able to turn a girl into an honest to God giant monster directly in the face of the Square Cube Law, complete with nigh-immortality, regeneration, and bona-fide super powers? The answer: not at all likely at this current time, even with the advances in technology via cracking Haruka's DNA.

If anything, they just made this whole scenario even WORSE for themselves.

You see, all life across the universe share one single trait: the ability to adapt and evolve. Add on an unknown substance/material that effectively made you a god amongst men, and every unknown that brings, and any tampering you do is bound to open up possibilities you couldn't dream of sith just these two alone separately.

As such, while Haruka was just a mere observer in her own body for six months, and experimented on to boot. All that did was give her and the hybrid mixture that is her body and the contents of the meteorite time and a new avenue to play and learn in. What was once supreme cybernetics piloting a goddess was slowly becoming just as it's ancestral technology was: a tool for its user.

Unbeknownst to Haruka and her enemies, she was adapting, evolving, and becoming a monster they truly couldn't control or easily put down.

The question though, is HOW this plays out. Does her anger at her situation lead her to discover her newfound control and evolution? Or something else?
