"Please dont make me. It always starts with her dirty paws, then she moves to her..." You shudder at the thought.

Your mother’s expression hardens slightly at your protest, her sharp eyes narrowing as she sits up straighter. She pulls her feet away from your lap, her tone turning stern and disapproving.

"Don’t you dare call her dirty. Vulpix is a clean, elegant Pokémon, and she’s been nothing but affectionate toward you. If anything, you should be grateful she even bothers with you."

Vulpix lets out a soft, almost haughty yip, her tails flicking as if to emphasize your mother’s words. She lifts her paw again, this time more insistently.

Your mother crosses her arms, her voice firm but with an edge of warning."Apologize. Now. And don’t make me tell you twice."

Her gaze is unwavering, and you can tell she won’t let this go until you comply. Vulpix watches you intently, her paw still raised, waiting for you to make amends.

You let out a sigh and lower your head. You can see dirt caked onto her paw pads, its probably why she went outside in the first place. Depsite this, you swallow your pride and kiss her paws just as you have a thousand times before.

Your mother’s stern expression softens slightly as you kiss Vulpix’s paws. She leans back again, a small, satisfied smile playing on her lips. "That’s better. See? It’s not so bad. Vulpix just wants to show you some affection in her own way."

Vulpix lets out a soft, almost purring sound, her tails swaying gently as she enjoys the attention. The layer of dirt that coats her paws from her morning wanderings outside is transferred to your lips.

Your mother watches the scene with a mix of amusement and approval, her tone softening further.

"You’ve always been so good at this. It’s one of the few things you do well."

She reaches down to pat Vulpix on the head, her smile widening as the fox Pokémon nuzzles her hand.

Vulpix backs up a little but doesnt seem to be done with you yet...
