You get downstairs to the rare sight of your mother cooking for you. Its been years since you havent made breakfast for her, getting the scrapes she left behind. You also see Vulpix heading outside.

"Your food is on the table, I wanted a special treat for you before you head out into the world." Your mom has a hint of sadness in her voice. You look to the table and see a plate full of fresh pancakes. "Its all yours. Youre going to need the energy. Being a Pokemon trainer wont be easy, especially for a man."

"I know mom, but I have to get out of here. I love you but I can stand this region." You start to dig into your pancakes. scarfing the sweet treat down. "You've got a lot of money to earn to leave. Remember, you arent allowed to move out of the region until you have enough to cover a flight, plus food and shelter for at least a year."

More Pokedollars than youve ever had, but not unobtainable. As you eat you think about a new life in Kanto. It doesnt take you long to finish your food, as if on cue you hear Vulpix walk in through the Poke-Door. You almost got away without having to deal with her goodbye gift she probably has been preparing.

The fox Pokémon’s eyes gleam with mischief as she spots you on your knees, and she lets out a soft, almost mocking yip.

Your mother chuckles, "Ah, there she is. Looks like someone wants to play."

Vulpix pads over to you, her tails brushing against your arm as she circles you. She stops in front of you, sitting down primly and lifting one paw, her eyes daring you to refuse her. Your mother smirks, clearly amused.

"Go on, then. You know how she gets when she’s ignored. It looks like she wants a kiss or maybe she wants to play doormat."

Vulpix tilts her head, her expression almost smug as she waits for you to comply.
