How you and Jen met Pt. III ft. Lillian
"What happened?" Jen had a slightly worried look, Lillian got serious all of sudden and all she had done was to reveal who she liked.

"You see" Lillian scratched her head while laughing awkwardly "Remember that I told you I'd tell you who I like if you did it first?" She asked and Jen nodded "Well... what I have to say about that is... ditto"

"Ditto?" Jen raised an eyebrow, feeling confused as she thought of the Pokémon named like that, with English being her third language, but she quickly remembered the original meaning of the word and gave Lillian a shocked stare "Really?"

Lillian nodded and sighed "Yeah. We both like the same boy" She said. Jen gulped and the air around them felt chillier than it should be, the tension rose and rose.

"So... are we supposed to be enemies now?" Jen asked with a pained look. It had only been a few weeks but she'd already considered Lillian a really good friend and realized at least in part how much she missed back in Mexico, where she had none.

"What? Oh, hell no!" Lillian shook her head. She couldn't help but chuckle, as she understood why Jen jumped to that conclusion.
"I like you Jen, it hasn't been that long yet but I think you're a good friend" She said "Which is why we need to talk"

Jen sighed in relief and nodded, though she was puzzled by what Lillian said, unsure what she was exactly getting at.

"You know that Blaise and I are best friends but I bet you don't know for how long" Lillian said.

"Exactly? No idea. But I've heard you guys really go way back" Jen replied.

"Officially, since kindergarten. But according to our moms, since we were a few months old" Lillian replied. Jen's eyes widened.

"Holy shit"

"Yeah... our kind of friendship is hard to describe, basically, we've been friends since we can remember"

"Whoah"

"I think you understand a bit why I like him" Lillian added "I don't really care for other guys, and well... I'm not exactly your mainstream kind of beauty"

Jen nodded hesitantly. She knew what she was getting at, but at the same time there was no denying that Lillian was quite pretty, her fair skin had a more peachy tone, compared to Jen's own, which was closer to porcelain. Jen herself would argue that Lillian's emerald green eyes were more beautiful than her own, and even her smooth, straight raven black hair, nearly always tied into a simplistic ponytail gave her a charm of her own.

It was her height and figure that would discourage most guys, but even with the bit of chub on her belly, she had a thick, curvaceous although very bottom heavy figure, and of course, her pride and joy: a massive ass that was unrivaled at least by any other girl at school, only older girls and fully grown women could compete or surpass it.

"So... how about we do this fairly? May the best girl win, no underhanded or dirty tricks" Lillian said, holding out her hand. It took Jen about a full minute to fully comprehend what Lillian was saying and she gasped in disbelief.

"Why?" She asked.

"Because I think you have a shot, and if you make him your boyfriend, I'm fairly confident that you'll be a good girlfriend for him. Plus, I've said this already but I think you're a good friend, so I'd say you deserve a fair chance. Aaand that means we have one more thing in common too" Lillian laughed.

Jen smiled, she knew she hadn't completely understood Lillian's reasoning, but she felt like she could at least grasp its basic principles and shook her hand, sealing the deal.

"Also, this is more like thinking about the future, but I feel like later on, more girls might be interested in him and most likely they won't be good for him. So, we should team up if that happens. Best to have a friend to fight along with, you know?" Lillian said, and the two shook hands again, as if to seal that deal as well. Jen was surprised that Lillian could be this insightful despite being younger than her.

"Now that you mention it, yeah, I kinda feel like more girls might be interested in him" Jen replied "Has it happened before?"

"Once. Back in 5th grade" Lillian said without missing a beat "Don't worry, he turned her down. She used to be a friend of ours though, and drifted away after that"

Jen nodded solemnly, trying to picture it in her mind without asking to pry further into the matter.

"By the way, to make things really fair, you just earned yourself a full course on top quality intel about Blaise that you can't get anywhere else" Lillian said with a playful smirk "It wouldn't be fair to compete against me if you have no idea what to do"

"Gee, how humble" Jen remarked with a chuckle.

"Just telling the truth" Lillian giggled "This is gonna sound wrong, but if I really were a clingy, possessive insecure girl I could easily block you off completely, and you'd have pretty much zero chances with him. Not even lying"

Jen froze for a moment. As severe as that statement was, she knew deep inside that she was telling the truth, Lillian had to have an unbelievable amount of sway in your life just by virtue of your lifelong friendship alone, just by the sheer time it's run, not even accounting your actual relationship with her, which, knowing Lillian and what she had seen from her interactions with you, was most likely a unique, unbreakable bond very few people shared.

"So, I'm gonna help you to become a really good friend of his, but of course, the rest is up to you and it has to come from the heart because if you're faking it you'll have already lost" Lillian said. And thus, the next stage in their friendship began, which was how Jen eventually became your second closest friend.

A few months later...

Jen and Lillian were having lunch together, they had gotten out of class a few minutes before the bell rang, courtesy of Ms. McAllen and were able to get their stuff before lines formed.

"I know I might be a bit biased but I feel I need to ask someone" Jen said as she munched on some enchiladas "Do you think Blaise is... you know, hot?" She blushed as soon as the words left her mouth.

"If you wanted to ask someone unbiased you got the wrong person" Lillian giggled "But you know what? I get what you're asking" She said, tapping her chin in thought "Objectively, I'd say he's at least good looking, just maybe not 'hot' as most people understand it" Jen raised an eyebrow at that answer and her look by itself told Lillian that she should elaborate.
"Don't get me wrong, I think that the only thing holding him back is confidence" She said "Like, if he wore stuff like T shirts and had a more extroverted attitude he could very well give the typical jocks and hunks a run for their money"

Both girls couldn't help but blush as they pictured Lillian's imagined scenario, however Jen appreciated the answer and understood her way of thinking.

"How would you rate him on a scale of 0 to 10?" Jen asked.

"I mean, in my personal scale he gets a 10/10" Lillian shrugged "But objectively I still think he gets a solid 9"

"Hmm. I see. But why a 9 though? What is he missing? Working out?" Jen asked.

"Nah. He already does a healthy amount of exercise but his clothes don't show it" Lillian replied "You'd be surprised" She giggled more mischievously, blushing a bit "You have yet to see him shirtless" This time, Jen blushed as well.

"Who gets a 10 though?" Jen asked.

"No one. I honestly don't see any guys that could be considered objectively a 10. Not even Jim" Lillian shrugged "I don't even care much for blonds"

"That makes two of us... ugh, because, lemme tell you that back in Mexico nearly all other girls instantly fell for the first blond, blue or green eyed guy that showed up. Sheesh" Jen said, rolling her eyes.

Then they saw you coming towards the cafeteria in company of your two male friends. Jen was on pretty amicable terms with Pete but she had very little tolerance for Jim, while Lillian practically bullied both. The girls heard Jim spouting some of his usual nonsense about picking up hot chicks, something that was always turned down by you but only half of the time by Pete.

"Why not? Sheesh, I could use a wingman" Jim complained.

"You need someone who can actually be a wingman, not just some unlucky everydude that doesn't stand out" You replied.

"Hey, Lillian" Jen said "You've told me that his family loves him and even has unofficial family that helped raise him, right?"

"Yeah" Lillian raised an eyebrow "My mom and Dolores, the lunch lady. They're friends with his mom and are basically extra aunts" She chuckled "Though Dolores likes to think of herself more like a second mom of his"

"Then... how come he has so little confidence?" Jen asked and Lillian paused. That had been a very good question, and most importantly, it was one she hadn't been able to answer for certain herself.

"To be honest, I dunno. Feels like his self esteem is a bit low, or maybe he's just too humble" Lillian said, scratching her head.
"I mean, my big sis kinda bullied him for a very long time, but she still cares about him. Kinda like a big sister I guess... then again, his actual big sister has always been super sweet to him too. But you're right, he should be more confident"

"Look, it's easy for you to say that, Mr. Pretty Boy. With those looks, I get it that most girls will say yes to whatever you ask, but that stuff doesn't work when you're some ugly motherf-" You responded to something that Jim said, but got interrupted by Pete.

"It's not always about the looks, Blaise! It's also about how to talk to them and being interesting"

"Welp, that means I'm even more useless at this stuff. I'm just some boring dork that doesn't really have anything interesting to add" You responded as the three of you went to get lunch from Dolores.

"It pisses me off to be honest" Lillian said as she munched on a large taco "He doesn't see it, he really doesn't see it"

"But maybe he wouldn't be the Blaise we know and love if he did" Jen offered a counter point.

"Touché" Both girls giggled and greeted you as you arrived to have lunch with them.

[End of Flashback]

'Even back then he never had much in the way of confidence, huh?' Jen thought. She looked back and saw your diminutive form standing at the apex of the curvature of her asscheek. In some ways she still couldn't believe it that she had her crush right there.
