Chapter 22
"Hmm... Oooh I know a fun game we could play!
"What've you got?"
"Let's play capture the king," said Chahna with an evil grin.
"Alright! What are the rules?"
"The game is simple!" We'll act as two monsters who are on a quest to conquer the kingdom. And what better way to do that than by capturing its king."
You didn't like where this was going. And your fears were realized when you watched Sadie look towards you with the same mischievous smile.
"Are you in," asked Chahna.
"I'm ready when you are!"
"Alright!"

"Commence invasion!"
You watched in horror as both girls laid siege to the castle. Both girls charged full speed at the sand wall throwing their large bodies against the barrier. You knew you didn't have much time before the breached the walls. You couldn't just wait for them to capture you. You needed to escape. You looked around and noticed that Chahna had constructed multiple sets of stairs leading to the upper part of the wall. If you could reach the top of the stairs you could jump off the side of the wall into the moat that had been built around the castle. Your best bet was to reach the stairs that led to the section of the wall opposite from Sadie and Chahna. You leapt off of your throne and descended the stairs the led up to it.
You reached the courtyard once you were at the bottom of the stairs. You could see the wall starting to give way as the girls continued their assault. You ran through the courtyard towards the staircase. As you ran full speed towards the stairs you could heard chunks of the wall falling off as the girls threw themselves at it. You were almost out of breath once you'd reached the stairs just in the nick of time as the girls crashed through the wall of the castle like the Kool-Aid Man. You hid behind the railing of the stairs quiet as a church mouse. That's when you heard Sadie's voice.
"What the hell? Where is he?"
"He can't have gone far. Start searching."
They must not have expected you to flee. Or at the very least get far. Either way it worked to your advantage. If they didn't know where you were that just made it easier for you to escape. You slowly crept up the stairs listening as the girls wrought destruction upon the massive sandcastle. Once you'd climbed halfway up the stairs you peaked over the railing and saw that they'd destroyed the throne room and smashed several holes in the castle wall. Large chunks of sandy debris littered the courtyard. Part of you felt sad about the destruction of such an impressive sandcastle, but you literally had bigger things to worry about. You could hear the girls moving closer to your area.
You crept up the staircase, making sure to stay hidden along the way, until you reached the top. From there, you made your way to the closest tower where you took a much needed breather. You peaked around the corner looking out at the courtyard. The girls had knocked down several sections of the wall. You were glad you'd chosen to go this direction or you'd have certainly been caught by now. Once you'd regained some of your lost stamina you dared to exit the tower. You had made it a few feet out of the tower when suddenly you heard Sadie's voice.
"There he is!"
You froze in place and turned to look towards the courtyard. Both girls were charging full speed in your direction. You screamed and started running. Sadie charged full speed and threw herself at the tower completely knocking it over. You ran like your life depended on it. You turned back to see Chahna rampaging through the wall with a sort of hunger in her eyes. You continued running until you reached a dead end. It was a collapsed tower from their previous rampage through the courtyard. There was only one option. You had to jump now. This was easier said than done. Even though it was your original plan you were still afraid of heights. But you steeled yourself against your fear knowing it would be worse if one of these two girls caught you. You take a deep breath and prepare to leap of the wall. Suddenly the ground beneath you gives way as Chahna destroys the rest of this wall section. You tumble down the side of the castle and land with a huge splash in the moat below. You swim towards the edge of the moat still coughing after inhaling some of the water. You start to run again but before you make it very far you notice a huge shadow forming over you. You turn around and see an ominous sight.
