Attack of The Astronomical Arianna

The room around you shook with the force of Arianna’s stomp onto the military vehicle, despite the area of the city she was in being over a mile away.

Glancing back at your Chirper feed, you saw a ground level view of the vehicle’s demise. Some brave (or stupid) soul on the street level a few blocks away had filmed it.
You watched in horror as Arianna’s foot, which was almost as wide as the street the person was filming in, descended onto the large armoured vehicle, which was scarcely as large as her middle toe. The poor vehicle, and all those people inside it, were cast under the gigantic shadow of your cousin’s foot. Debris rained down on it from the sole of her foot, remnants of destroyed buildings and people that had already disappeared under her strides. The debris, chunks of masonry, cars and even some people who had been crushed underfoot, battered the comparatively tiny armoured truck.
When her foot finally dropped, the camera picked up a flash of an explosion that was almost instantly snuffed out as her foot fully impacted on the ground.
The resulting impact caused all of the buildings on either side of the street to shake, and the buildings immediately adjacent to the impact zone came crashing down from the sheer force of the impact. A large plume of dust spread out from the impact of your now mega sized principal simply stomping her foot, and then the camera feed cut off.

Unable to tear your eyes off of the carnage happening downtown, you whipped your head back towards the tv to see what Arianna was doing now.
She seemed really angry for some reason, and the look on her face actually somehow terrified you more than watching her wreck the large, several tonne armoured truck as simply as you would step on an insect.

Seeing Arianna at this scale and so mad made you want to flee the country, but you decided to ignore your instincts and wait for Zulemia to get here like she had instructed you to do.
Resigned to the fact that you couldn’t do anything until your friend’s mom got here, you couldn’t do anything else but fearfully watch what Arianna was doing, praying that her rampage wouldn’t bring her any closer to your house.
Thankfully for you, she seemed to be remaining in the most built up area of the city. The streets weren’t wide enough to accommodate her, so she was having to plant each foot in different streets, stepping over buildings as she went, many of the taller buildings that were only able to reach her waist height simply collapsed the instant her monstrously wide hips made contact with them.
You thought that it looked like she was searching for something, and getting more frustrated the longer she went without finding it. A frustration that was being taken out on the surrounding buildings and any authorities foolish enough to challenge her.

Footage of her stomping on an 6 floor apartment complex, the structure folding like it was made of paper underneath her unfathomable weight, was cut off by news reports of the mayor, having now fled the city, once again asking the military to intervene. Some of the other political figures that had fled with him still argued that the diplomatic route would be the better way, but those voices were quickly overruled. Even the discussion on Chirper seemed to be predominantly begging the military to get involved.

Hearing them talk about attacking Arianna with military grade weapons gave you mixed feelings. Sure, you were worried for your cousin, but on the other hand she terrified you at normal size, and with her current stature and the destruction she was causing, you actually weren’t even sure that they could beat her…

“Blaise!” Your worried thoughts were interrupted by a familiar voice called out, accompanied by the sound of the front door of your house slamming open.

Turning to the approaching voice, you briefly caught a glimpse of a new car parked out front in your peripheral vision. You must have been too engrossed in the carnage that Arianna was causing downtown to have noticed it arrive.

You were greeted with the sight of a very panicked Zulemia standing in the doorway of your living room.

“Oh thank god I found you!” Zulemia panted, clearly the stress of the situation had exhausted her.

“Zulemia, what is going on?” You hoped that Zulemia, being a scientist, would be able to shed some light on the current, terrifying situation.

Before Zulemia could answer, the ground beneath both of your feet shook so drastically that it caused both of you to fall to the ground.
Wondering what caused the tremor, you looked to the tv to see footage of Arianna being hit by what appeared to be a cluster of missiles fired from a squadron of fighter jets that passed over her head and were gone as quickly as they had appeared. The resulting cluster of explosions across her midsection didn’t even appear to harm Arianna, but the surprise of being hit by them caused her to lose her balance and fall onto her backside.

The impact of Arianna’s gigantic backside caused the earthquake you had just experienced, as two whole blocks of buildings disappeared underneath her and were utterly demolished by her weight.

Arianna scowled at the rapidly retreating jets. Before a loud gurgle from her stomach caused her to look worried.
Before you could even contemplate what was wrong with her, she released a massive, twenty second long rumbling fart that was so loud, you would have heard it from where you were without the audio of the tv.
You watched as several buildings behind where she was now seated collapse and get blown away by the sheer force of the wind exiting the giant woman’s backside.
After she was done, your cousin’s face flushed a deep crimson in embarrassment, and when she looked towards the retreating planes, the crimson hue colouring her cheeks remained, although now it was caused by rage at those who had embarrassed her.

As Arianna got back to her feet to continue her rampage, you forced yourself to turn back towards Zulemia, hoping to get some kind of explanation for all this.

“Now I know this all must seem really scary and confusing…” you anxiously awaited an explanation as Zulemia began to speak.

1)
“…I think Zuemy might be behind this. The only people that could have caused this are either me, or my two daughters. Zoey is out of town, and I didn’t do it, so that leaves Zuemy. The problem is, she isn’t answering her cellphone,” Zulemia seemed on the verge of tears from worry over her youngest child. “The fact that Arianna seems so angry, and is actively looking for something, tells me that it might be my daughter she is looking for.”

“Ok, do you have any idea where Zuemy could be?” You asked, already knowing the answer, and praying that you were wrong.

“She seems to be keeping her search around the centre of the city, so I’d guess in there somewhere. So I’ll need to head there to try and find my daughter… and I’d like you to come with me,” she looked at you with pleading eyes.

“Wait, what?!” You couldn’t believe what Zulemia was suggesting. “Why me? What help could I offer?”

“Oh come on Blaise, isn’t it obvious?” Zulemia looked at you like you were missing something that you should have easily known. “You’re coming in case we need to placate Arianna. She’s obsessed with you, I’ve only seen her interact with you a handful of times and it’s obvious. So I need you to distract her if it’s required to get my daughter away from her.”

Your brain felt like it was short circuiting. Arianna was obsessive over you? In what way?
You would have thought she’d have crushed you like an insect if she caught you at this size!
Do you trust Zulemia enough to believe her, though?

2)
“Hold on mom, I think I can explain,” Zuemy interrupted her mom as she entered through the front door. “I can tell you how she got so big, and who she is looking for, but you’re not gonna like the answer…”

3)
Before Zulemia could explain anything, she was yet again interrupted by a series of massive booms and explosions that rocked the ground under your feet.
Glancing out your window towards the centre of the city, you were terrified to actually be able to see Arianna on the horizon!
You couldn’t tell from your perspective of her whether she was coming closer, or more horrifyingly, if she was getting larger?
