Close encounters of the Draconic Kind
You couldn't believe your eyes, it was a giant monster... well, to be more accurate, a dragon, and it looked like it was falling down towards your house. Your eyes widened in shock and in a mere instant, your kidneys pumped your blood full of adrenaline. Acting on its own, out of sheer self-preservation instinct, you charged and jumped through the window right before the red colossus collided with your house, crushing it underneath, and landing on the ground with the force of a meteor, causing a long, terrifying earthquake that shook your bones like maracas.

You felt briefly disconnected from your body, this had to be a dream, it was too surreal. Even more so that nobody else seemed to notice, there was no reaction. Sheila and Lillian surely would've noticed, as they live literally next to you, and this giant dragon's landing, even if it didn't hit their house, it should've shaken many things off their shelves.

"What the hell...?" You muttered in disbelief. You grabbed your phone to try and call somebody, but there was no signal, to which you growled in frustration.

Then, you heard an earth-shaking groan, the kind of sound that only a gigantic monster could make, but it didn't sound like the kind of noises animals made to intimidate others, oddly enough, it sounded like a call for help, somehow you felt the desperation in that sound, even though it literally shook you. A sense of morbid curiosity overcame you and slowly walked towards where your house once was, the mighty dragon was laying on its stomach, its enormous tail reached all the way across the street, and in fact, it had demolished the house in front of yours. You weren't entirely sure, but it seemed that this beast was easily 200 meters long, or twice the size of Godzilla. That made you gulp hard in fear, but still, you slowly approached the massive beast.

As you walked closer to its body, you could see that it was still breathing, but it wasn't moving from where it landed. The breathing made it look even more real, there was no way this were a simple prop for some movie, not that it made much sense, you could see the rubble below slightly poking into the softer flesh of its belly, and as you kept going, you also noticed the individual scales. Too detailed to be an animatronic, besides, you could also hear heavy breathing. Then, you sensed something and when you looked to the right, you realized the dragon was staring right at you. Your blood froze and instantly regretted your decision, however, there were more odd things you noticed.

The first one being that this dragon had iridescent eyes, which in itself was extremely unusual, you expected red, yellow or green, the kind of colors anyone would expect from a terrifying reptile. The second was that its eyes looked drained of vitality, you couldn't understand why you felt that, but something deep down told you that it was likely dying. Still, you were well aware that a dying animal would likely fight to the last breath, and weren't sure how it'd react to your presence. Most surprisingly, it looked you in the eye and let out a softer groan like the one before, almost as if it were calling for help. Your help.

'I don't suppose this thing has a splinter in its paws and will spare my life for it...' You thought, but as the dragon groaned again, sounding more desperate, you decided to at least give it a try. Running away would be a very poor choice when facing a predator anyway. You looked at the dragon's paws, trying to find any clues of what it might be trying to get help for, and, seeing this, it raised its head a little and glanced at its back. Once again, you were baffled, was it trying to communicate with you for real? Seeing that it insisted on doing that, you turned around and walked back, next to its huge body, trying to look for a grievous injury, and then you eventually found it...

A glowing sword was stuck firmly in whatever the dragon's equivalent to a haunch was. The light it gave off seemed to be seeping into the dragon's body.
'Is this what is hurting it?' You thought, and the dragon groaned again as if to confirm that.
'Does this mean people tried to kill this thing? There must've been a reason...' You thought, but then heard the dragon let out a pained roar, panicking, you looked back at it, but it didn't seem to consider you a threat, and instead, it definitely looked like it was trying to beckon you to help.

'Eh, if this thing moves, I'm probably already dead, and if not, my mom will probably kill me after seeing what happened to the house' You thought with an internal chuckle and slowly walked over to the dragon's leg to begin climbing it, its scales made for a decent grip, so it wasn't all that difficult. You nervously approached the glowing sword, it looked like the kind of swords you saw sold as "Excalibur" replicas, kinda fancy, but still a sharp, deadly blade, deeply embedded into the dragon's flesh, while giving off a supernatural light, kind of iridescent like the dragon's eyes. You hesitantly grabbed it by the handle, unsure if you'd feel something, and feel something you did, it was a warm feeling that began flowing into your body, and you could tell this thing possessed immense power, and it was coursing through you.

Deciding not to dwell too much on the feeling, you grabbed the handle with both of your hands and began pulling it out. You heard the dragon roar in pain, but it didn't move much besides trembling, so you continued. It was a rather excruciating process, though you knew it had to be more so for the unfortunate beast than yourself, and after a couple of minutes, you pulled the entire blade out of its flesh, which was quick to regenerate, baffling you. Then, a shadow covered you, and when you looked up, you realized the dragon was now reaching for you with its paw, or hand, you weren't sure what to call it.

Panicking harder than ever, you hastily tossed the sword away and laid on your stomach, trying to show that you weren't a threat, though you weren't sure if what worked on bears would work on dragons. The dragon stopped for a moment, making you sigh in relief, but then it used two fingers to pick you up, in an eerily human-like manner.
'Holy crap I'm going to die!' You thought and tried to squirm free, though it was a very difficult task, as each finger was easily 4 to 5 times your size.

Your efforts were in vain, and before long, you were facing the dragon again, its eyes now looked full of like, and there was a certain light to them, you would've felt good for your good deed if it weren't because it was holding you like a french fry or a small piece of meat. You can't possibly make out what the dragon's intentions will be, all you know is that you'll be at its mercy, and can only hope it's not hungry...
