Jonas's eyes landed on a familiar silhouette: a cheerleader costume. Red and white, with a short pleated skirt, a cropped top that read "GEEKS" in block letters, and a pair of white ankle socks with pom-poms attached.

This is so cliché. But...

He grabbed it and headed for the fitting room.

The top was smaller than he expected—just a strip of fabric that barely covered his chest, leaving his midriff completely exposed. He pulled it on and looked in the mirror, feeling the cool air against his stomach.

That's a lot of skin.

The skirt was next. It fastened with a button and zipper, and when he put it on, it sat high on his hips, the hem hovering mid-thigh. He turned, watching the skirt swish and flare.

He looked like a cheerleader. A hot cheerleader. A hot cheerleader with toned legs and a flat stomach and—

I can't wear this in public.

But he kept looking. Kept turning, watching the way the fabric moved. He tried a pose—hands on hips, chin up, confident—and the woman in the mirror looked like she owned the room.

This body is built for this.

Jonas felt a strange mix of embarrassment and curiosity. He'd never worn anything like this in his life. In his male body, he'd lived in hoodies and sweatpants. But now—

Now he could wear this. Now he could be the kind of person who wore this.

Do I want to be that person?
