Leo blinked at the screen. The profile pic showed a pale brunette in flannel, reading a horror novel on what looked like a beanbag. Not his usual type—not that he had one. The emojis felt oddly sincere.
What the hell, he thought, and hit accept.
His dorm spun. A flash of light, a sound like duct tape being ripped off reality, and then—
He was staring at a pale arm in a black hoodie sleeve. And feeling... cold?
Leo sat up. He was curled under a weighted blanket in a dorm room decorated with bats, fairy lights, and vintage horror movie posters. There was a stack of lesbian poetry books on the nightstand and a dried rose taped to the wall.
He looked down. Skinny legs in plaid pajama shorts. No cleavage. Small boobs, flat stomach.
Okay, he thought. Weirdly comfy.
The door opened.
A tall redhead in a tank top walked in holding two mugs. Leo almost choked at the sight of her massive breasts, barely contained and completely unrestrained under the tanktop.
“Coffee or tea?” she asked, with a sleepy smile. “And did you finish the reading?”
Leo blinked.
“Uh…”
Her eyes narrowed.
“You’re not Syd, are you?”
“...Nope.”
She grinned and flopped onto the bed next to him. “Knew it. She said she was doing a Swapp tonight. I just didn’t think she’d lend you my body.”
Leo nearly choked. “Wait, this is—?”
“Yep. I’m usually the one with itty bitty titties.” She stuck her hand out. “I’m Bri. Syd’s girlfriend. Right now, you're in my Bri body. I'm in Syd's body. And Syd's in yours. She wanted to finish some studying in peace. You got the best end of the deal, trust me. Confused yet?”
Leo stared at her.
She handed him the tea. “Don’t worry, I’m not gonna make you go down on me. Unless you ask really nicely.”
Leo turned red. “Please don’t.”
Bri laughed. “You’re fun. Most of the people Syd swaps with are, like, other English majors trying to cry in her bathtub. You’re kind of a wildcard.”
Leo looked around again. This body was light, agile. His brain wasn’t screaming in panic. The clothes were soft. The air smelled like eucalyptus and lavender. It was… peaceful.
Maybe he was someone who could wear thigh socks and listen to Phoebe Bridgers while scrolling through Goodreads.
Syd (in Leo): “Hey! Thanks for the trade—your body’s got great posture. Might keep it 😈 jk jk (unless?). Enjoy my spooky little life.”
