This was honestly a bit crazy, as you were shrunken down in size and in the rented out room to a beautiful silver-haired elf. She put you down on the ground as she read her Grimoire, as she figured you would like to get accustomed to your new size. As well as come to terms with the new life you were in. That was needed, as you had to come to grips. It was seriously heavy your situation, as you have to come to grips.
For Frieren, while she knew that it would be best for you to realize the situation yourself, she also really wanted to read this book and this Grimoire, so it wasn't entirely selfless. Now what will Fern think when she comes back from her quest? Just a simple retrieval quest, one that she was confident her apprentice could handle, and this also means that Frieren can have a bit longer sleep in so it was great that.
What will Fern think of you in the future? You perk up and turn around to her, as she noticed you.
"Is there something wrong? Something you want to ask?"
"Yeah just... so how will you be able to help me?" You question.
"Well I am a powerful mage, with hundreds of spells under me." She smiled, not wanting to brag but wanted to inform. She loves sharing her spells.
"W-Well do you have one that can grant me back my height, o-or return me to my home?" You were a bit hopeful that she could.
"Hmm, now a size altering spell is not one that I have, and while I do have a teleportation, it's for much shorter distances, and I don't know your home so I wouldn't be able to return you." You slumped your tiny shoulders, as you should have expected.
"I think I'm in a different world too, because my world doesn't even have Elves." You say to her. "They are like of legend and stuff."
"So I'm the first Elf you have made, I hope I'm not too disappointed." Honestly, she was exactly what you expect an Elf to be. Pointy ears, very smart, very beautiful. Plus apparently, she was very old too, even though her appearance doesn't show. "Any other questions that you have?"
"Oh uh... not really."
"I'm asking because I don't want to be rude, but I also wish to return to my reading." She flashed a smile. "May I?"
"Oh right, sorry." And then she went back to reading. Well guess it must be a hobby of hers, so you were going to relax. You walk around inspecting the giant room. She was in a guest room in an Inn she was staying, so the only values of hers was her luggage and all the stuff that was inside. As well as her trusty staff that was too big for you to interact with. So you just kept looking around coming to grips that Frieren was a normal size being, and you were the tiny one. You did get some more questions, but you let her finish her reading this time and didn't decide to question her.
It took about thirty or forty more minutes before the giantess closed her book. "Well I suppose that's enough for now. You've been staring at me for the last few minutes, might I ask why?"
Crap you didn't even really know you were staring at her. She was just so pretty and you were bored, it was a mixture. "W-Well I got some more questions." You have an excuse. Walking up to the giantess right in front of her feet and her wiggling toes, a bad habit for her during her adventuring in the colder areas. Any movement for warmth. "You were adventuring with someone called Fern."
"Yes, and you will meet her in a couple of days. Although I'm not sure how kindly she will take to you~" Frieren joked. "Depends on if you like sleeping in like I do."
"That... I do." You say which got her to chuckle. "W-Well if she's willing to help me out and is nice like you, I don't mind." She smiled wide when she heard this.
"Well you will be staying at a cost. I was thinking about that for a little bit while reading. Earning your keep, you wouldn't mind."
"I-I wouldn't... unless it's something really bad."
"It will be jobs and tasks that you can handle. Trust me, I am fully aware of the danger that you would be in at that size. Think of... Foot Massaging, or maybe feeding me food when I don't have the energy."
"Okay... I-I can do that." You say to her as she smiled. She knew humans usually have a problem when they get told to do stuff that they could see as demeaning, and you didn't.
"And I do have spells that could assist you. A brief burst of strength, or maybe even durability. Although you aren't much of a caster yourself, so they will be needed to be directed onto you."
"R-Right." You say to her as she then smiled down.
Something about this little human was cute, which she did find odd, but at the same time made sense. Comparing a normal size apple to one of much smaller size, it's only natural to find the smaller cuter.
"If you wish to test your abilites~" She smiled knowing what she wanted. she stuck out her leg, placing her foot directing in front of you. "You can try climbing up my leg."
"R-Really, well... I think my physical strength would be the same in comparison to my body, so..."
"If you are going to be traveling with me, you would know to do what your elders ask of you~" She smiled, in a not so subtle bid to get her way.
You look at the large climb that was her leg, and you can do it. Giving out a sigh up to the giantess, as you do just that. Moving to her foot.
