The Nursing People consist of two civilizations, the inhabitants of the metropolis surrounding Sonia's left nipple and the inhabitants of the cavernous milk glands of Sonia's left breast. The population of both cities consists of Microputians and Lilliputians.
The founders of the nipple metropolis named it Niplheim. Milk flows from the massive, mountainous brown nipple each day, splitting into various white tributaries along the way and ending at the various rivers that run through Niplheim, where its inhabitants harvest the nutritious liquid each day for various purposes. Parents mostly use the milk to feed their children, but the milk has applicable uses in cooking, farming and medicine. The lactation pills Sonia took had some side effects. Bathing in her breast milk could heal injuries and cure diseases. No-one in the Soniaverse ever had to worry about pain or sickness ever again.
The metropolis encompasses the entirety of Sonia's left areola. The inhabitants rarely go beyond it out of superstition, even at night when Sonia is asleep in her room and no possible danger could occur. During the day, the city is protected beneath her black laced bra. It stabilizes her breasts and prevents quakes from occurring. The inhabitants of Niplheim are fascinated by the patterns on the bra and treat them like constellations.
Meanwhile, inside of the glorious Mother Goddess' breast lay the interlinked civilization of Glandia. It consists of various cities linked via the tunnel system in Sonia's milk ducts. There is one city per duct. When building Glandia, the founders encountered two issues: Potential risk of flooding from the flowing milk and the hot climate. The climate issue was easily solved by installing ventilation to ensure the inhabitants could live comfortably without sweating boulders. They had already solved a similar issue with the Capital civilization and they simply copied this solution with Glandia. Solving the flooding issue would be a more arduous challenge. The solution the civilization's architects thought up was to redirect the milk flows. Sonia's breast contained 20 milk glands and the architects decided that half of them would be reserved for civilization, while the breast milk that is supposed to flow through these 10 reserved ducts will be redirected to the 10 remaining ducts. Blocking off any more of them may cause issues such as bloating or drying up the milk rivers that flow through Niplheim. Even blocking just one of them may cause problems down the line. It was decided that instead of sealing off the ducts completely, dams will be built at the entrances to the ducts to reduce the flow of milk to a manageable level. This would allow for rivers to flow through the various cities and provide sustenance to the inhabitants. Once Glandia's plans were finalized, an entourage of Lilliputian engineers flew to the breast's lobules where Sonia's milk was produced. They constructed the dams at the gland entrances. With their completion, construction of Glandia's 10 cities could begin in earnest. The dams are managed daily and the flow of the rivers are changed depending on the day's milk production.
The environment of Glandia outside of the cities mainly consists of lush, temperate jungles. Another side effect of the lactation pills was that Sonia's milk affected plant growth. Plant life formed and grew rather quickly. Vast fields, jungles, forests and plains formed within weeks and the inhabitants took advantage of this. Vast farming industries formed to harvest the fast-growing fruit, vegetables, crops and trees in the environment and provide it to the grateful citizens of the 10 cities. Massive lakes also formed in the caverns of the ducts when the dams were installed. The populace transformed them into resorts where people came to swim, bathe or seek medical help.
Glandia also has Collectors and Benefactors like in the Capital, but they harvest breast milk instead of the food consumed by Sonia. They are tasked with the collection of breast milk and delivering it to the other civilizations across the Soniaverse.
About 55% of Microputian inhabitants choose to live in either civilization temporarily. The unlimited supply of breast milk ensures their children never hunger. Microputian babies are dependent on breast milk for longer compared to infants of the other races. It takes two years for their teeth to develop and they become able to consume solid foods. Microputian mothers develop large breasts during pregnancy so they have the necessary milk capacity to feed their many offspring, but sometimes that might not be enough. Larger families struggle to provide enough milk for so many infants. They may have to rely on the assistance of mothers from other families to ensure all of their babies are well-fed. Once all of the babies in a family have reached two years of age, the family will move to another part of the body as they no longer need to rely on Sonia's breast milk and the Pubian and Capital civilizations have a better quality of life.
